  1. I would trade for Zack Greinke and sign Alex Wood as a free agent. This probably moves Lopez to the bullpen which they won't do but this would be my move. 1. Greinke 2. Giolito 3. Wood 4. Kopech 5. Cease
  2. It seems as if the Sox want the 11th rounder Torres to get lots of time in AZL and their 8th rounder from West Virginia will head there as well.
  3. So Harold Diaz, Jose Rodriguez, Jerrick Francees and Sydney Pimentel might all be on AZL roster then it seems.
  4. Morgan was drafted in 2018.
  5. How would they have gotten him? He was a 2nd rounder out of HS in 2015. The Sox didn't have a 2nd rounder in 2015.
  6. I hope they deal him before July 31st, personally
  7. He's 100% signing
  8. I would think so. It's easy to assume that Vaughn, Thompson and Beard will all sign for slot. Use the 5-10 round savings to sign Dalquist.
  9. Glass is signing. We just need to see the bonus amount. If he's like $200K that takes their overage to like $310K. If they are paying for Dalquist with 5th-10th money they could theoretically offer Krogman like almost $300K to sign
  10. $100K for Gladney $50K for Torres $60K for Acosta The total overage so far is $210K. There was a false report out there on Glass.
  11. I think that DJ Gladney (16th round) and Logan Glass (22nd round) are signing. They have a shot at Chase Krogman too depending on money.
  12. I think they absolutely thought that Vaughn was the 3rd best player. You're probably correct though that they really liked Adams but not for $7 million.
  13. After Clinton talking to Nick and the podcast with Garfein I think we've learned some things. They came into the process wanting to select more high schoolers in general to "balance out the system" a bit. Taking the best player in Vaughn at 3 and then following it up with Matthew Thompson was absolutely the predetermined plan. Then Andrew Dalquist fell and they re-evaluated. They found out what it would take to sign Dalquist and they decided to go this route. This also entailed them staying up most of the night and identifying which college seniors to fill out day 2 with. Dalquist and Beard were part of that "on the fly" changing of strategy. Hostetler told us that he didn't see the value in college pitching in rounds 5-7 like he had previously (Flores, McClure, Lambert, etc) so they decided to go high end preps at the top and save later. It's different than what we're used to but it makes sense. I'm pretty sure they'll get Gladney and Glass locked up and the 11th and 12 rounders will definitely sign. That's a nice little infusion of prep talent.
  14. He was pretty good in AAA with the Nats last season. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=15690&position=P
  15. We have tons of signings on the FutureSox tracker FWIW
  16. Some good stuff in here: http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2019/06/futuresox-podcast-11-2019-white-sox-draft-review-with-nick-hostetler/
  17. Nope. I'm talking to my ticketing guy tomorrow because the link is messed up. I'll keep you posted.
  18. Yes. You can buy tickets just for the patio party
  19. I think they'll land Glass and Gladney for sure. Trenkle and Krogman are the two I'm waiting for. I'm doing the tracker updates this year though so feel free to let me know if anyone hears anything.
  20. I spoke to Krogman's dad yesterday. He said he's taking the week to make a decision
  21. I need to write the preview for FutureSox but I've been busy doing draft stuff. Thanks for this.
  22. THey are likely signing the #4 prospect from the 2018 class though
  23. Baty is going underslot. My guess is Baty is taking just under $3 million, Wolf getting $1 million and Allan close to $4 million.
  24. 3rd round slot is $667K. They are likely giving Allan close to $4 million. If Allan chooses not to sign, they'd lose $667K but they could still offer Barco the remaining the 3.3 million they had allotted to Allan.
