I don't think I've celebrated Chris Getz. I just don't knee jerk react to everything. He's made some very questionable trades but I think the front office hires have made sense and revamping the way organization operates makes sense as well. Ultimately though, they need to find good players. I'm aware. Brian Bannister lobbied heavily for Drew Thorpe from what I understand. He'll be a significant part of their rotation moving forward.

The White Sox would've been eviscerated for acquiring Tommy Edman. I'm sorry but this is horseshit. Chriz Getz is definitely not the hire I would've made but he's operated very similarly to how an outside hire would operate under this ownership. There are lots of new faces and they aren't all "idiot buddies from Kansas City". Josh Barfield, Brian Bannister and David Keller all come from pretty well run orgs. Now it's all about what they do though and developing players but it's ignorant and lazy to just assume that all these hires are bad. Who are the crony hires? I need to know so I don't get confused next time. "Leakers" lol. That's cute. I try to be as honest and transparent as possible. I wouldn't have hired him. I don't believe it's destined to fail though. If I did, I'd stop paying attention and I definitely wouldn't be wasting my time on a White Sox message board.

They actually don't have to wait. They haven't revamped the analytics department. They've made hires for a big league coordinator to be a conduit to the staff but that's about it. There are lots of changes going on. Pro scouting, international scouting and research and development among them. It's late and they're behind but it's still encouraging.

With the break in the schedule, I'm expecting the White Sox to hire a manager this week. I'd be fine with any of Will Venable, Donnie Ecker, George Lombard or Clayton McCullough.

On 670 today, Bruce Levine said that Dodgers 1B coach Clayton McCullough is still a serious candidate and that Will Venable and George Lombard have interviewed.

Yeah I haven't really dug deeply into the connections. I know that Clayton McCullough's dad is a longtime pro scout for the Royals and he also came up with Indians, played with Sizemore in minors and managed for Mark Shapiro in Toronto I don't believe so but three of his ex-coaches are on White Sox staff currently I guess I don't really have a preference. Skip Schumaker seems obvious but I'd be fine with any of Lombard, Descalso, McCullough or Venable honestly. It's so hard to know who will be good or not. I don't know why people think this. I agree with you but they did this last time and landed on Pedro Grifol.

They're likely to reach a deal with comcast at some point and probably some non youtube tv streamers as well. It is also expected that they'll distribute direct to consumers in some fashion at some point as well via an app. The revenue brought in from local tv deals was a huge payroll driver though for majority of clubs which is a big issue. There is definitely another work stoppage coming.

Fegan also reported that Schumaker is still in the mix, the Sox have told some candidates that they aren't finalists and that they'd like to make a hire by end of October and prior to GM meetings. It was reported this weekend that direct to consumer is coming. They just have to finish their media rights deals first. I'm waiting for that because I want to keep youtube tv.

It doesn't matter who they replace him with. He posted a 98 wRC+ as a first baseman and was a negative WAR player. He's bad at baseball and is an easy non-tender at that cost.

None of this makes any sense. He's just not worth the arb cost. He's a bad baseball player. I'll be pretty disappointed if they tender him at that price. It should be an easy decision.

No. I think Alejandro Cruz sounds interesting but Sox aren't linked to any of the top players. Yorger Bautista is a guy who had an agreement with the Sox but they reneged on the deal I believe. He's signing with Seattle instead and is ranked as #5 prospect at Pipeline.

I have Youtube TV and I don't feel changing. I'm certainly not just to watch Hawks and Bulls game. I'll have a decision to make in the spring though.

Advocating for the right for the LGBTQ community shouldn't be a political issue. It's just about not being a total fucking asshole. I suspect it had something to do with it though.

Does it say somewhere that Youtube TV isn't likely? That's a surprise to me since they have NBC Sports Chicago.

One misconception that I’ve seen is about the pro scouts. These guys are scouting minor league players to acquire via trade. They recommend the trade returns. So the people who hate Chris Getz’s trades should be thrilled that these guys are fired.

That has been said. I have no idea how true it is. I also know that Kenny preferred the older Cubans because they could help the big league club quickly. The whole operation is a mess and it’ll take years to fix.
