Keith Law Top 20 organization writeup
I think there were some wins too though. Noah Schultz has elevated significantly to what he’s become. Peyton Pallette, Jonathan Cannon, Davis Martin and Aldrin Batista are big positives. They need to see some gains on position player side but Ryan Fuller was hired for a reason.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
I’m not a fan of Justin Crawford I’m not opposed to the White Sox eating $$ but they need a much better headliner than Edwin Arroyo to do so.

McDaniel/ESPN rank Sox system #2 behind LAD
This isn’t necessary. Sincerely, f*** off. I understand wanting more than Luke Keashall if eating $$ was necessary. They still ultimately made a very underwhelming trade though.

McDaniel/ESPN rank Sox system #2 behind LAD
The Twins wanted the White Sox to eat $$ on Fedde. They were never a real option imo.

I don’t think Keaschall was ever a realistic option personally.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
I do think the Sox would prefer to trade Robert prior to opening day. Jim Bowden said today that Phillies were also involved and Sox have been asking for two top 5 system prospects minimum in return.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Well, once they trade Luis Robert and Andrew Benintendi, they have only pre-arb and arb salaries for 2026.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
Yeah I get it. I'd wait. Maybe someone gets hurt in spring training.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
This would prompt me to wait and trade him at the deadline.

Keith Law's Top 100 prospects out
White Sox system will be top 5 everywhere else.

White Sox asking for "top prospects" for Robert
I don't think the White Sox should be eating any $$. He makes $15 million this year. It's perfectly reasonable.

Keith Law's Top 100 prospects out
Roki Sasaki is an international amateur so he counts. It wasn't this way last year for Yamamoto for example.

Sox are getting 6 on MLB Pipeline list
Baseball America and MLB Pipeline use different standards. I don't agree with BA's process. It makes no sense.

Keith Law's Top 100 prospects out
Rookie status eligibility is 130 at bats, 50 IP or 45 days on active roster. Those are the parameters that we use for prospect eligibility at FutureSox and it's basically what everyone uses other than BA. For example, Drew Thorpe and Brooks Baldwin aren't eligible to win rookie of the year because they aren't rookies. Therefore, they shouldn't be on prospect lists.

Keith Law's Top 100 prospects out
Baseball America is the only publication who ignores 45 days of service. It makes no sense. They go with 130 at-bats or 50 ip. It's weird.

Getz: "We are... building from the ground, up"
It was always a 100 loss team. When Cease was traded, we said on the FutureSox podcast that it might be a 50 win team. Nobody thought they'd go 41-101 but I mean, 50-112 isn't much different.

Getz: "We are... building from the ground, up"
Sure but I never had any delusions about this team winning anything last year and nobody paying attention should've either. This plan has seemed pretty clear. It's unfortunate that it's necessary but there's only one way out of this mess.
-
Getz: "We are... building from the ground, up"
Did they? I don't remember Chris Getz ever saying they were competing last year. They were always going to be awful and they got nothing from Luis Robert, Yoan Moncada or Eloy Jimenez.

FutureSox: 2025 International Class comes into focus
Very few from last years international class are coming stateside. Jurdrick Profar is and Yhoiker Fajardo was going to prior to being traded.

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
If the Blue Jays are trading for space without having a commitment from him, I think that's nuts. There's nobody to spend $2 million on if he chooses the Dodgers.

Stories on Sox signing class...
I think they’re much more likely to spend more money on prospects than trade it at this point.
