I don’t think it makes sense to spend yet anyway. They should spend on stopgaps, flippable veterans and relievers to trade at the deadline. The Sox will be awful again in 2025. There’s no reason to spend a bunch of money to win 70 games when you can just win 60 games instead. They’ll be in contention for the #1 pick in 2026 draft. Should be pretty obvious now.

No I can’t. And I never would. But you can’t fix a disaster in one off-season. They need an org hitting guy. If they don’t find one, I’ll be critical. They need a new international director. I’ll be critical about that too if they don’t do it.
