  1. Griffin being mentioned with Sox recently is hilarious. He’s been tied to them for months.
  2. Man I’d be scared to death. So many tools but nobody strikes out that often in college and improves it in the pros I think Cags is rated higher for them. @Harold's Leg Lifthas been saying it’s Cags if he’s in the board. I have no reason to doubt him.
  3. Keith Law mock draft today has Sox taking Caglianone. Says he’s option A and Griffin is next. We’d heard similar on this board.
  4. Depends on how much each guy costs for me. It’s huge part of this process. The pitchers are flawed too though and I have confidence in them finding pitching in rounds 2-5 where I don’t with bats.
  5. Come on. He’s nothing like Nick Madrigal
  6. I’d be really surprised.
  7. He has to. Can’t negotiate down the hitters if the pitchers aren’t an option.
  8. Give me one of the 2 best players in the class at #5 haha!
  9. That list is rough imo. Weird order
  10. The White Sox play Gavin Sheets in the outfield so nothing should be surprising.
  11. Sure. The prep guys have nowhere to play this year so they’ll be hanging out in Arizona. The issue is that you can’t create players who don’t exist. I just don’t love taking college bats in rounds 3-6 or so and HS bats are expensive and it’s a weak class.
  12. I did a five round White Sox mock for today: https://www.futuresox.net/2024/07/09/five-round-mock-draft-2-0-white-sox/
  13. It’s about fit. Ortiz will be 28-29 by the time Sox are ready to win. I’d much prefer the Padres package Sox will have the top pick!
  14. Which is why Crochet to the Orioles is extremely unlikely to happen.
  15. I have no idea. I've only really heard Sox connected to Griffin, Cags and Wetherholt. I don't know what they'd do with one of those others on the board.
  16. I think so. I’d take both prep guys over him too.
  17. He can't get moving. Nobody is trading right now with the MLB Draft next Sunday-Tuesday. It'll all happen after that.
  18. Nobody I've talked to thinks that Caglianone can actually play the outfield. I was told that Chris Getz valued defense. Also, if you're drafting Cags, you're drafting the bat. Just put him at 1B and hope he mashes.
  19. I released mock draft 3.0 at FutureSox today: https://www.futuresox.net/2024/07/08/futuresox-2024-mlb-mock-draft-3-0/
  20. Totally disagree. He’s a great headliner and probably the best one available. If I could get Miller, plus one of Crawford/Caba and two other pieces, that’s a pretty good deal. I’d probably take a gamble on Mick Abel too. They line up well.
  21. So it’s a 44% K rate overall. With a really good 12% walk rate. That lacks context though. He struck out 28 times in first 48 PA. Then the hitting instructors came and worked with him. He has a 174 wRC+ in Low-A as an 18-year-old.
  22. That makes no sense. Hes not going to do that.
  23. He’s not. This is a bad post.
  24. I just don’t think anyone meets the asking price
