  1. I also couldn’t find the twitter account in question.
  2. From our perspective it would definitely be ideal as we have excess arms on the 40 man roster and don’t need to dip into our prospect capital. Just got to hope the Dodgers really like Bummer/Fulmer and/or are looking for a soft landing for Joc that doesn’t help a competitor.
  3. It’s odd you call out Robert’s flaws (based on limited, injured riddled samples no less), but don’t call out Rutherford for all his many faults. I’m a huge fan of using K rate to evaluate prospects, but it’s not the end all be all you’re making it out to be. For one, you completely ignore the fact Robert has a chance to be a high-end defensive CF which can help offset any contact issues he might have down the road.
  4. I said fringe average, which I think is a fair representation of arm. Regardless, trading doesn’t mean we are going with three guys. It means we’re going with Eloy and plus two out of Robert, Basabe, Micker, & Gonzalez with Walker as a wild card behind them.
  5. He had enough of a rebound in 2018 to regain some prospect status and I wouldn’t be opposed to selling high on him and clearing up some space in that crowded AA OF if there’s enough interest in him. Playing in Birmingham could be ugly and it’s not like he’s Gavin Sheets with 70 grade raw power.
  6. I just think out of all our OF prospects, he’s got the hardest path to the majors because he’s a corner guy with a fringe average arm and questionable power. He just seems like the one guy who will likely be traded at some point in the next year or so IMO.
  7. Gotcha, I just figured with 2K followers and access to some well known guys like you, WSD, & Merkin he may actually know something. Obviously trust your opinion on this.
  8. Dude, my oldest son was super sick a couple weeks ago and I got stuck with him for two days. Thank god he’s finally old enough for Nintendo Switch or I would have been fucked work wise.
  9. I feel you man, I’ve got five hours of meetings tomorrow. Part of the reason I was hoping some stuff would leak tonight, because tomorrow will be rough for me if something big happens.
  10. I have already blocked out my calendar in Outlook from 3pm on so there is zero chance someone schedules a meeting during the opening ceremonies. And you’d be surprised how many dicks think a later Friday afternoon meeting is acceptable.
  11. Excellent list / write-up! Honestly, your rankings are quickly becoming best in class, outdoing the big name publications by wide margin IMO.
  12. Lol...I rescind my statement. You guys are right, we could definitely add both of them. I still think Joc makes more sense to supplement a Machado addition, but it wouldn’t take us out of the Harper sweepstakes.
  13. I will say this, if we somehow land Joc, we must have a ton of confidence in our ability to sign Machado because it would effectively take us out of the Harper sweepstakes. That’s a fairly dangerous spot to be in IMO. Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
  14. I don’t think it qualifies as a big “SoxFest” type announcement per se, but I think diehards would be excited to see him pitch for the White Sox finally after all these years & two tours with the Sox.
  15. Gio to the Sox almost seems obvious at this point. No way they enter the season with Banuelos as the 5th starter if they feel any degrees of confident they land a whale and we’re quickly running out of options.
  16. Great point fathom. I don’t know how I’d feel about dealing for him for Joc, but if you feel his value has peaked you definitely deal him now. The idea of holding onto all your prospects is a bit foolish, because some of them will most definitely bust and smart organizations capitalize on their value while they can.
