  1. Very hard to believe a bullet fired a mile away could somehow achieve the necessary trajectory to both land in the LF bleachers and strike three people. Regardless, these assholes were going to keep rocking and rolling with this overpriced, shitty product until the CPD declared the park a crime scene.
  2. Seriously, this statement from the Sox is more embarrassing than a Grifol presser. Imagine thinking that somehow, someway a person was shooting into the park from the outside and struct a fan in the leg (plus grazing another) and you just assumed said shooter wouldn’t keep firing? Like I’m now legit fucking pissed. This is gross misconduct and the Sox are lying through their teeth if this is story and they kept on playing. What a fucking s%*# show.
  3. Official Sox statement. They claim they don’t even know where the bullet came from, but somehow felt there was no active threat to fans? I’m sorry, but this makes them look way fucking worse for not shutting the game down. What a bunch of assholes.
  4. The White remain radio silent. Maybe they’re hoping if they simply ignore the story, the news will quickly go away…lol.
  5. Pretty wild the Sox aren’t releasing a statement tonight. Can’t wait until the national media gets ahold of this and rips these fucks to shreds.
  6. I don’t know man, I seriously doubt many people try to sneak their guns into a Sox game. How would you plan to get a pistol through a metal detector?
  7. Sounded like one of them was beyond a graze wound, but maybe I didn’t hear the scanner correctly.
  8. I’ll be honest, it’s going to look fucking horrible if there was a shooting in the park and they kept playing. Even if it was an accidental discharge, the fact a gun was allowed inside should have resulted in an immediate shut down of the game. Brooks Boyer must be working like crazy behind the scenes to come up with a story that doesn’t make our org look like completely fucking idiots.
  9. Sure, but someone bleeding out on the ground would likely cause a bit of commotion
  10. Lol…either do I, unfortunately I was there tonight and didn’t have a choice but to watch in disgust. I left around 8:00ish, which I was believe sometime in the 6th inning. Where did you see the time of the shooting?
  11. There is supposed to be an official comment from the CPD and the White Sox at 10:45pm
  12. I also don’t buy it happened in the 3rd inning. I left after the sixth inning because the game sucked a fat you know what and my two boys didn’t seem too interested in sticking around for another hour when they found it wasn’t going to fireworks but rather Vanilla Ice. My wife got a text from her friend at the game in section 108 about 30 minutes later saying there was a shooting in the parking lot and to let me know since I was with my kids. I’d peg any sort of activity around the 7th or 8th inning.
  13. I didn’t notice anything and I walked through the OF concourse around the 5th inning. That picture I posted showed multiple rows of bleachers cleared out, but people still sitting below and above said rows with zero level of panic. I’m still guessing some sort of fight in the stadium (that drew blood) and then it carried over to the parking lot where a shooting took place. I just don’t get how there wouldn’t be a mass exodus after an in-park shooting happened.
  14. Very weird if it was during the 3rd inning. Zero commotion I noticed, but I was sitting behind home plate.
  15. Yes, that tweet seems pretty legit, but just feel uncomfortable in the chance I was spreading fake news about a shooting at the Rate. Personally, I think there was some type of shooting, whether in the parking lot (more likely) or in the stands (the latter of which seems almost impossible but who knows).
