  1. Nothing like a first pitch groundout to get things going
  2. I’m actually pretty optimistic about this bullpen if Liam & Crochet eventually come back healthy.
  3. I actually like him, especially in this very moment ?
  4. Who fault was it? I’m watching on my phone with shitty San Diego 5G, so can’t tell if a bad throw or a bad attempted catch?
  5. I know it’s a bit early to worry about the bullpen today, but if we need four innings who are we going with? Lopez, Bummer, Kelly, and who?
  6. I haven’t been able to turn on yet, so can’t really say what the problem is. But viewing all the concerns that his velocity is permanently down and then seeing him right around 94 MPH seems to rule out one issue.
  7. Giolito just threw one 94.7 MPH, doesn’t seem the velocity is a problem
  8. What’s Giolito’s velocity been at? I just saw one at 93+ MPH. That doesn’t seem that bad for 1st game of the season.
  9. Take with with a grain of salt:
  10. No doubt he’s to blame to, but if you bring in a left to face Álvarez with the bases loaded it better be Bummer.
  11. Can’t defend Grifol here, Diekman can’t be used in that situation against Alvarez.
  12. I probably agree with 99% of what you say, but any scenario that involves Eloy starting 25% to 30% of games in RF is a very bad idea IMO.
  13. Burger playing 1B is a little disappointing, although I guess he needs work there as well in the event of a Vaughn injury.
  14. I imagine the Sox will sign a free agent pitcher and then go internal with the other spot (Martin, Burke, Mena, etc.).
