I maintain that KW is the lesser of two evils in a win now situation. Ultimately both guys should go, but give me Kenny for a year and hope that a thorough search results in a quality hire who can truly transform the organization. I would hate to rush such an important decision as the repercussions can last a decade.

My wife booked the tickets, but apparently they’re super expensive. I would have loved sitting in the 100 level, but it was way too much money (her words) so we sat in the level above. The views were still really good there so probably the best overall value. Take the subway to the get the stadium. You get dropped off right there. Cell service sucks around the stadium if you have Verizon so make sure to have a copy of your tickets saved to your phone. I found the food options to be terrible in the stadium and the beer is way overpriced (even for Rate standards), so load up as needed beforehand.

Sorry you have watch this mess in person…can’t be worse than taking your son to Yankee Stadium and getting stuck with the Keuchel start due to a rainout. At least Cease should keep this interesting for you. Do your best to get us a win!

Here’s the thing. We have a rotation of Giolito, Kopech, Cease, & Lynn for another two years. Either you sell off Giolito at the deadline or you go for broke these next two years. Kenny is a flawed baseball executive, but he’s a significantly better scout than Hahn will ever be. And he’s willing to take risk and make a big trade, which will he needed to fix the major flaws with this lineup. Meanwhile, I’d begin an exhaustive search for our next President of Baseball Operations and rebuild this organization from the ground-up. Kenny would just be the placeholder while that search takes place.
