This Orioles lineup has a ton of firepower…Schweitzer just makes me nervous given how his first appearances went.

Newcomb will likely pitch two tonight or tomorrow. If you want to live care free, throw him out there tonight. If you want to live dangerously, give those innings to Schweitzer.

This Orioles lineup is way too good to get Fedde’d like this. I get we’re still up six runs, but one more base runner and you got to pull him.

Long-term Jacob should probably get the DH spot and then fill in across the infield as needed.

His stats as a DH vs. RHP have been pretty good. I still don’t love the roster inflexibility of carrying a platoon DH, but right now that’s the smallest of problems.

That would be a terrible trade IMO. Why are we trading 6.5 years of a young controller infielder for 1/2 season of a good but not great SP making a fuckton of money? I definitely want Gray, but not at the price of Jacob.

Yup, the GM of the surprise 1st place Chicago White Sox in large part due to his foundational improvements and offseason moves is going to trade a really good young player (2nd best prospect per ESPN) with options for a mid milb catcher…

I think Gonzalez is much more than bench bat. He’s not better than Murakami obviously, but I could see him push Meidroth into utility role eventually.
