Is there a way to watch this for YouTube TV users?

Quero Being Shopped
Can he be coached up? On the offensive side, he has decent raw power and hits the ball hard. Are there adjustments that can be made to get more loft? As for his defense, the speed is double plus and even some basic improvements to his reads / route running could result in an average CF. Personally, I’d rather roll the dice on the major league ready 21 year old with multiple plus tools and strong bloodlines who potentially addresses a major position of need than have Quero as a backup catcher and part time 1B/DH. I greatly respect your opinion on prospects through, so I should probably bring down my optimism on Crawford some.

Quero Being Shopped
Not to that degree…no way.

Quero Being Shopped
That’s possible. The Phillies could use both right now. Not sure how much the Schwarber deal impacts their financial situation but a cheap Quero and a discounted Robert (if we include cash) could help.
-
Quero Being Shopped
They wouldn’t have picked up Robert’s option if they’d have to turn around and need to use a young player to dump it.

Who are all the veteran free agents who can just be acquired for money?

I still can’t believe we took tweener McLain over Sirota…FML

Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread
TB couldn’t traded him at a 1/$11M price tag…how much do you think he’s going to get?
-
Quero Being Shopped
I know Justin Crawford is a divisive prospect, but wonder if he could be bad for Quero. Phillies will need a catcher if they can’t / don’t bring back Realmuto.

Pete Fairbanks?
They also have a tight budget and every penny matters.

Quero Being Shopped
How is this roster churning? They have two catchers that should be starting 120+ games behind the plate and a third who appears to be a very capable backup who can slot in against LHP. To me, this is 100% the right move if you can return a similarly valued young player at a different position.

Quero Being Shopped
Fully agree.

Kyle Schwarber back to Phillies 5 years/150 mil
Good…hopefully this gets things moving.

Teel might be our biggest untouchable. If we move a catcher, it’s going to be Quero or Lee.

He’s the perfect add to the rotation at this point. Swing for the fucking fences and hope for the best.

We’ve added a cheap SP and will likely add another. I think they add RP or two, one who might be closer materiel. I fully expect a semi meaningful 1B addition. The OF is a bit challenging at the moment. If you can’t dump Benintendi and you hold onto Robert, then you really only have RF to work with and I’m not sure I want to block Baldwin after he put up 118 wRC+ over the 2H of the season. Who do you have in mind in free agency for RF?

But we need to play & develop the young players before we will ever have a path to become competitive. I’m not against adding cheap vets where we don’t have good options, but those spots are somewhat limited. Where would you like to see us add and which players do you have in mind?

If you refuse to go over $100M, you’re settling for the Andrew Benintendi’s of the world and we have all seen how well that one has gone so far

Ishbia taking control by 2029?
I’m sure he’s going to get more involved, but he’s not yet the controlling owner so he’s not going to be the main decision maker in the interim. Seems like he’s more involved on the stadium side of things due to some of the capital he’s bringing to the table as part of this past agreement.

What is adjusted grade? Saw this the other day and it seems like a new metric.

Ishbia taking control by 2029?
Final year of our current lease at Guaranteed Rate and my guess is having a new stadium in place is critical to whatever agreement they came to. And it sounds like Ishbia will be super involved in the stadium process as likely future controlling owner and current majority owner.
