  1. @WhiteSox2023 hates team favorite Mike Vasil over a magic wand but is creepily in love with PCA (worse than Harold with Kelenic) despite telling a fellow Sox fan to “suck his dick”. Make it make sense…
  2. W in TF
  3. I have no idea who they’d want or if we match up at all. Regardless, I’m not trading McDougal, who entered the season as a top 100 prospect at BA, plus other stuff for the 34th pick. I’m also not trading Jacob Gonzalez, who Kiley McDaniel has 2nd overall in our system after Bonemer (if you exclude Schultz & Braden) for the pick either. I’d love to get a comp pick, but trading away one of our top prospects who are major league ready is not the way to do it.
  4. Lol…the guy whose teammates demanded he travel with the team because he is so beloved by them should now be condemned to the bullpen during games because Skubal is a snowflake who caught feelings over a magic wand. Unlike you are apparently, Venable & Getz want to keep wining and Mike Vasil being in the dugout during games is a big part of that.
  5. In what world is McDougal+ the cost of the 34th pick.
  6. But if there is no season, he doesn’t have to pay the player.
  7. Sadder if it were true
  8. I mean, this isn’t even remotely true
  9. I would not trade Gonzalez for the 34th pick in the draft. At that point, you’re lucky if the pick ends up as good as Jacob.
  10. Any word on Thorpe?
  11. Why would Jerry be afraid to commit $14M next year when we have one of the lowest payrolls in baseball?
  12. The good and the bad of the pitching staff is all the value is all coming from a couple of guys. We have one TOR starter, one mid rotation starter, an elite RH reliever, and two strong LH relievers providing 7.6 fWAR while the rest of the staff is a combined -1.3 fWAR. And that figure is -2.0 fWAR if you exclude Kay, Schultz, & Davis who are all positive value at the moment. We first need to get guys healthy and onto the major league roster. Schultz will eventually fill the open rotation spot, but we need someone to bump Fedde and potentially Kay to really make progress in the rotation. Mason Adams is now in striking distance and I’m not writing off Sandlin, but Shane Smith & McDougal are the guys who could really move the needle. As for the bullpen, external help will likely be needed, but Wikelman Gonzalez, Palette, & maybe Peoples could all be possible upgrades over the trash LH relievers we are using right now. And some of the guys who are potential SP options could factor in here as well. There is hope if we can get guys back & healthy.
  13. 100% agree. Sox will need to sign a legit TOR starter this offseason and have zero excuse given our financial flexibility (assuming there will be some in free agency). Martin, Burke, & Schultz should all stick if healthy. Plenty of options for the #5 spot between McDougal, Hagen, Shane, Thorpe, & Adams. Kay is either a swingman or traded for whatever. There is roadmap to quality rotation for next year…this year has just been plagued by injury and in the case of Schultz (so far) some development woes.
  14. Adams has a hell of an opportunity if he can find his form fast. Also helps that his velocity appears to be up a tick since coming back. He could end up being a surprise contributor with all the injuries.
  15. f*** the Yankees…we still got this
  16. What is the hand gesture they do after every hit?
  17. “One of the worst teams in the MLB”…this post stinks 😉
  18. Feel good about this prediction
  19. My untouchable list is Gonzalez (if we still consider him a prospect), Bonemer, H. Smith, McDougal, Carlson, & Fauske. There are several others I wouldn’t move because their value is too low vs. their upside in Oppor, Larson, etc, but otherwise I’m open to moving pretty much anyone else. Not a ton of them, but three or four prospects to add one good starter and a decent reliever. I just believe in this positional group and think the pitching will be much better than it is today once healthy.
  20. We have Murakami for one more season, which could be lockout/strike shortened. Wild that so many people are scared of giving up B & C tier prospects to help our chances why we have him.
