Jake Rogers took his spot on the 26 man, but still had to be added to the 40 man roster.

This is such a huge fucking game. With complete uncertainty on who pitches tomorrow & Wednesday, you really need to take game 1 and limit any potential damage the next two days. Hopefully Castillo can build off his last start and get us the W tonight.

Yeah, I think the 40 man is maxed out. My guess is either one of Gilbert or Davis goes or one of Rikuu or Perez goes. Everyone else appears to be safe to me.

Yes, I didn’t include him in my original post simply because I don’t think he’s a feasible option for the Cubs-Sox series.

Sandlin pitched on Saturday and would have to go on three days rest to pitch even the Wednesday game. I can’t see them doing that. I think he becomes a serious option for a rotation spot as soon as next week.

Gotcha, so you’re saying he can optioned one more time and called up again one more time. Still risky to have him on the roster knowing that demoting him requires putting him on outright waivers, but it’s a little better of a situation than the one I illustrated.
