For sure…but right now he’s arguably the best we have against RHP.

Fully agree…seems like some posters here appear to understand platooning less than Rick Hahn did. That being said, Murakami & Colson have both been fantastic against LHP and replacing them with Gonzalez & Acuna hurts a lot.

I agree with @chitownsportsfan that some regression is coming with the bat, but maybe he can out produce his xwOBA to some extent due to his speed. Either way, Peters lacks much impact with the bat. If the defense stays at these levels, he can definitely be a part time player in CF if you are strong offensively in most other spots. Regardless, CF is the spot I have the least most long term conviction in right now.

What are these clowns doing?

Biggest needs right now are a TOR starter, RP depth, and a CF (although Peters is doing a fine job). I think we can augment the bullpen at the deadline for a low cost. A legit SP or CF, however, will be way too expensive and we should wait until the offseason to address (and hopefully in free agency). Selling should only happen if this team completely collapses between now and the end of July. And even then, it’s not like we have a ton of vets on short term deals. Maybe Kay and a couple of relievers go? Not going to get a ton though and there is probably a lot of risk in pissing off the clubhouse. Honestly, I’m hoping we can stay in the thick of things and be soft buyers.
