  1. A quote from Fegan in a recent Sox Machine article on Tauchman:
  2. SD is another possible landing spot. They desperately could use a LF who could help push Sheets to DH and would probably prefer a cheaper option. Tauchman makes a ton of sense there. They also could desperately use a catcher as right now their primary catcher is Martin Maldonado. I’m stealing this from Future Sox, but Korey Lee could make a ton of sense for them. He is performing well with the bat in AAA, but is completely blocked at the moment at the major league level. A Tauchman + Lee trade would help address two major needs for them and neither player would be a rental. Will need to give more thoughts on a potential return.
  3. He had a 112 wRC+ from April to June. He fell off a cliff in July. Maybe it was just a bad month and things will turn around, but definitely doesn’t leave me warm and fuzzy on Jacob.
  4. Help us Luis Robert…you are our only hope
  5. I forgot how annoying Cubs fans are…much easier to endure in your 20’s, drunk, and able to talk s%*# freely
  6. Reading through a Mets forum and they are suggesting Robert + Taylor for Vientos 🤣🤣🤣
  7. He’s a rookie…these guys are going to make mistakes. I don’t disagree on the arm, but otherwise he’s exceeded my expectations for him at SS. That doesn’t mean he will stick there long term, but I still think he can believe he can be passable until a long term option presents itself. Maybe that’s Colson, but the scouting reports I read made it sound like 3B would be his eventual home.
  8. Ridiculously small sample sizes that have no statistical significance.
  9. We aren’t trying to win, we are trying to see what we have. And who else are they changing their positions other rotating Colson between SS & 3B?
  10. I haven’t been to a crowded game in years…forgot how bad this was. But still worse than I can ever recall.
  11. I’m in utter disbelief at how bad this is. I have been stuck circling lofts for 40 minutes now and still not finally at the ITT overflow lot. Guarantee I will miss at least three innings and that’s if security is light.
  12. This parking situation is a shitshow…I’m going to miss half the game at this rate. f*** this organization.
  13. It’s hard to show because a lot of post hype prospects never get a second chance after initial failures. Vientos doesn’t really apply to what I’m talking about though.
  14. My kids grew up as “Sox fans”…they just have no reason to care anymore.
  15. I wouldn’t recommend looking at his past 30 day splits. That .666 OPS looks pretty fucking awesome in comparison.
  16. Also, was planing to wear my Robert jersey as a final send off but the guy is such a wimp that I have pivoted to my 20 year old Jenks jersey. Real heroes deserve to be honored, not ones afraid to play through a little groin pain a week before the trade deadline.
  17. I’ll be there with my Cubs fan wife and our three kids who could give two fucks about the White Sox. Should be a blast! At least give me a win baseball gods for enduring this suffering.
  18. He’s out again??? Now I’m starting to get worried about getting anything for him.
  19. Robert + Sosa for Vientos would be terrible.
  20. I’m more than ok with pursuing that market inefficiency. I also think power is a massive need for us. I’m just not convinced Vientos is the answer. Part of that is the player, part of it is the fit. I get Robert is a flawed asset, but I’d prefer going in a different direction when trading him.
