Mazara badly due for a bomb

White Sox @ Royals - 9/6/20 - 1:05 CT
If we’re sticking with what we got, this is the lineup I’d like to see against RHP: Anderson, SS Grandal, C# Abreu, 1B Jimenez, LF Robert, CF Moncada, 3B# Encarnacion, DH Mazara, LF* Madrigal, 2B

The Yolmer addition made theoretical sense from a depth perspective, but it was just a matter of time before Ricky started using him too much.

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
Resources are ultimately finite and without question I would prioritize adding a high-end starter over a big time RF (don’t think we can add both). That being said, if we decide that our 3-4-5 next year is some sort of combo of Cease, Dunning, & Kopech then we better be landing a superstar RF.

The grandal hate is vastly overblown
If Grandal hasn’t worked on his game-calling at this point in his career, it ain’t happening bud. And outside of Giolito, who has come out and said they prefer McCann catching them?

Yeah, I don’t fucking get it.

2021 Offseason Prediction: Who We Lose and What Will Be Our Needs?
Welcome to the board! IMO, zero chance McCann turns down a QO as the pay would be substantial and most teams would be turned away from signing him if attached to a draft pick.

2006 Redux?
I’m awake & sober now and still don’t get this thread.

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
Yeah, his 2019 season was split between Low A & High A. He was very good in High A over his 12 starts, but as we all know AA is the real test and until he’s proven himself there I’m not sure how he can really be part of our starting mix.

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
Unless we add Springer for RF, entering next year with no rotation upgrade is inexcusable. We should be all systems go come 2021 and that means improving our biggest weakness which is the starting rotation. I get we should have five theoretical starters with Kopech coming back, but no competitor in their right mind is going to war with so much uncertainty in a given area of their roster. We need another reliable starter in the 1 to 3 range and need a better 6th starter. If you can add a guy via free agency or trade and hold onto Kopech then you are set. But relying on guys like Rodon (who has proven he can’t stay healthy as a starter) or Stiever (who hasn’t even pitched in AA) to be our depth is crazy. We really need to stop fucking around next year and I can promise you having too much will never be a problem. If Kopech looks like the budding TOR starter we all hope he’ll be, we’ll find to make it work. Until then, plan for the worst and make sure you have six legit options.

2006 Redux?
I’m so fucking confused right now, hopefully that’s just me waking from a drunken stupor

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
I’m thinking more along the lines of a DeGrom type, but a guy like German Marquez would be of high interest to me.

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
He’s a good pitcher, just don’t want another soft tossing lefty and if I’m giving up a Kopech I want a legit TOR starter who can carry us in the playoffs.

What is your predicted pitching rotation next year?
I pray to god we don’t trade Kopech for Marco Gonzalez

In honor of JoeCoolMan, I nominate Mazara to be nick-named CoLdIcE

Feels right to me. Would love Bauer though.

2021 Offseason Prediction: Who We Lose and What Will Be Our Needs?
Because they could probably get something and if they couldn’t why sell at a low point?

2021 Offseason Prediction: Who We Lose and What Will Be Our Needs?
Why would the Red Sox make that trade though?

NFL offseason 2020, the off-season that may never end
And I applaud you for that, but it definitely seems like you’re trying to link the term “hillbilly” to legit hate filled words that center a round a person’s color of skin, religious beliefs, etc. But like I said, if you or someone else truly finds it offensive, I’ll happily just call Cousins ignorant or dumb.

Just put Moncada on the IL already....
Didn’t see this posted anywhere, but Fegan has a write-up on how COVID has been impacting Moncada with quotes from Yoan himself. It’s very clear he’ll be battling this along with his left leg issue the rest of the season. https://theathletic.com/2043628/2020/09/04/a-daily-battle-months-later-yoan-moncada-is-still-affected-by-covid-19/?source=user_shared_article

You tell me since you seem to be offended I called a guy from Barrington, Illinois a hillbilly

A person who ignores science and says if they die from COVID they are ok with that.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
Cease has been pretty bad this year despite a nice looking ERA.

Nick Madrigal
It’s just nerves IMO. His reputation has always been a guy who gets the job done with the balls he can actually get to.
