5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 9, 2015 -> 09:11 PM) Well I'm remember fathom kept saying we needed a break since we kept facing aces for a while. We have faced a proportionately large amount of good pitching, yes. But Jason Marquis is next level bad.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
For emphasis - Jason Marquis is a starting pitcher in MLB.

RE: Rodon to the pen, I have no answer. Probably waiting to see if they can squeeze anything out of the corpse of John Danks.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
QUOTE (Mike F. @ May 9, 2015 -> 08:53 PM) The Sox would be so f***ing stupid to put Rodon back in the bullpen. They already said they would. There isn't any doubt.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
Avi has to learn how to "pick his pitch" so to speak, or he'll never hit for any power.

Probably going to want those runs once Beck enter the game in... the 5th, i'd guess.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
At least most of the TOOTBLANs lately have been by the other team, even if everything else is bad.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader
Trying to be reasonable about this team has become a fools errand.

Have to see how his velo is, could be a bit of dead arm due to the late start.

The White Sox Looming Decision
All those guys he mentions have, in fact, been below replacement level, by their metrics. The only reason Avi hasn't been worse is that his BABIP is 100 points above normal. Cameron is unduly smug about a lot of things, but he's certainly right that this isn't a good enough team to compete for a playoff spot.

First "meeting" happened, with pitchers
Clearing up who Rodon will be replacing.

Who can the Sox sell?
Ramirez and Smardjz are all I can think of. Bonifacio has no value and Laroche is selling low. Maybe they trade Q for a bounty.

Why should Robin Ventura have a MLB manager job
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 3, 2015 -> 05:35 PM) There's just no reason to stick with Ventura after the performance today. I kind of hope Robin does get fired, for two reasons - 1. To shut up the fire Robin crowd 2. So that people will see that this team is bad regardless of who is steering.

5/3 - Sox @ Twins
Coop is a big part of the pitcher health on this team, so he can stay as long as he likes.
-
Rodon to the Rotation?
I think they were saving his innings in case they needed him for playoff starts. However, that should no longer be a concern, so getting him in the rotation ASAP is crucial.

5/3 - Sox @ Twins
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 3, 2015 -> 04:23 PM) I wish we were the Astros The Sox could be the Astros, but they would be the 2012 or 2013 Astros. We have a couple more years in the wilderness I think.

5/3 - Sox @ Twins
If Avi can start to square up on pitches on the inner part of the plate he will be a monster. He has great coverage but he can't hit anything inside for power.

5/3 - Sox @ Twins
QUOTE (fathom @ May 3, 2015 -> 01:21 PM) Noesi deserves more of a chance than Danks. Noesi hasn't exactly been helped by Rodon. Neither have any upside. Both are replacement level or worse.
-
Who can the Sox acquire?
Laroche ain't going nowhere.
-
5/3 - Sox @ Twins
Its impossible to make a terrible team great in one offseason, unless you have an unbelievable farm system like the Cubs / Astros.

Not sure where he'd play but it sure looks like he belongs.
