Homer number 2 this game for Cespedes.

I try to stay out of gamethreads as much as possible, but how on earth did this guy get a major league deal?

Cespedes homers. Think I'm going to watch the Barons instead of the White Sox today after this lovely Velasquez 1st inning.

Dalquist gives up an RBI double that just missed being a HR after a fielding error by Moises Castillo in the previous at bat. Also gets another strikeout with the high heater, and ends the inning with two infield ground outs.

I believe I saw on Twitter that his velocity was down across the board on all his pitches.

Dalquist with a quick 1st. 12 pitches 8 strikes. Had a nice strikeout on a fastball up in the zone, but also had a slider tattooed right at the first basemen. Showed his curveball as well.

Really wonder how the enforcement of the pitch clock is going effect a bunch of these young developing pitchers. Seems like it's something that isn't in their best interest? Though I imagine it might help some of these guys who overthink it? Turn off your mind and throw your pitch.

To be honest, that outing was better than most of his last year other than the 2 bombs. The strikeouts were there which is a very good sign. Hope he builds on it,

Ramos just called out on strikes by the ump for not getting in the box fast enough with 2 strikes. Castillo was assessed a strike the same way in the at bat before.
