  1. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) I assume Robertson. Yup. He corrected it. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 5m5 minutes ago The #Nats tried to get the #WhiteSox to include closer David Robertson in the Adam Eaton trade, but Sox refused, will deal separately.
  2. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 1m1 minute ago The #Nationals tried to get #WhiteSox to expand the Adam Eaton trade to include closer Todd Frazier, but Sox refused, will deal separately

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 12:45 PM) I'm kinda wondering if Severino has become an unhealthy obsession just because we are all familiar with him now. Is he that much better than the Astros catcher we just stuck in AAA? He's pretty meh to me, but you could do worse. Fantastic defensive catcher with not much bat.
  4. QUOTE (oneofthemikes @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Sean Sears on twitter: "Source: Asking price for Chris Archer and Jose Quintana is too high for #Astros, "seems unlikely" that either will end up in Houston" Who is this guy again?
  5. Colleen Kane ‏@ChiTribKane 34s34 seconds ago White Sox GM Rick Hahn before leaving winter meetings: "The feeling at this time is let’s get to work on the next one."
  6. Bob Nightengale‏ @BNightengale The #Nats are in Jansen sweepstakes but now concede they may have to use trade market, and #Whitesox closer David Robertson intrigues them
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) Still got your boy Robles too, but that's probably unrealistic. Indeed. WAS still has Kieboom as well.
  8. Hayes brings Nate Jones into the available relievers speculation. http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...-meetings-close
  9. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) Yes, yes, yes! But we already cleaned out their system lmao. So who do they have left that the Sox would want? Severino? Stevenson? Turner? Fedde.
  10. Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 30s31 seconds ago Dan Hayes Retweeted Mark Zuckerman Nats and #WhiteSox reportedly continuing to have more dialogue. More on trade interest in WSox relievers shortly.
  11. Mark ZuckermanVerified account ‏@MarkZuckerman #Nats have made offer to Jansen, met with #Rays about Colome, #WhiteSox about Robertson, per sources:
  12. From a Roberston trade scenario perspective, really hope Jansen signs with the Marlins because that farm system is dreadful. Braxton Garrett might be the only interesting piece they have.
  13. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 10:27 AM) I'm probably overreacting, but I feel like if Hahn deals Quintana and Abreu OR Frazier, this team may not win 55 games. Yup. And that's fine for a rebuild. Acquiring a top 3ish draft pick and the pool size that comes with it will help immensely.
  14. I really liked Covey as a draft prospect at the time. Would be neat to see him pan out in some way with the White Sox.
  15. Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 20s20 seconds ago Rick Hahn said Rule 5 pick Covey viewed as bullpen piece, or possible back end of starting rotation in 2017.

I wonder if Robertson could fetch Severino if the Nats miss out on Jansen? That might be fair value. Severino/Fedde if I'm being greedy?
  17. QUOTE (Dunt @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 09:41 AM) For Q, I'd want Martes, Tucker, Perez, and Stubbs. I think a dark horse to watch for Q is Colorado. Have a roster capable of going to the playoffs now, need a TOR starter and maybe some pen help. Anyone think you could do Q & Robertson/Jones for Rodgers/Dahl, Hoffman, Tapia, and Murphy? It would be nice to hear Quintana linked to Colorado. Especially after that quite questionable Desmond signing. Getting some sort of combination of Rodgers+ Hoffman/Tapia would be fine with me.
  18. If Houston wouldn't trade Bregman for Sale, they aren't going to move him for Quintana. I'd be very pleased with a Houston return of Martes, Tucker, Fisher, and Cameron.
  19. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) Lopez has started at every level, why convert him now? They won't. I like Law, but I'll trust the White Sox and their pitching acumen over him.
  20. Joel Sherman ‏@Joelsherman1 37s38 seconds ago #Pirates believed Tues nite were on brink of dealing McCutchen to #Nationals for Giolito and Dunning

  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 09:29 PM) We.Need.Postitional.Talent. We.Get.It.You.Need.The.Rebuild.Done.Immediately.
  23. Christopher Crawford ‏@Crawford_MILB 32s32 seconds ago Giolito and Lopez are (obviously) the headliners, but Dunning was a personal favorite from last year's draft. 60 FB, 60 CH, improving SL.
  24. Christopher Crawford ‏@Crawford_MILB 29s29 seconds ago Adam Eaton is a very good player, but gosh I love that trade for the White Sox.
  25. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) No. Especially with Q. This is the offseason to trade him. Not next offseason. This. With the returns he's gotten thus far, no-one should be off limits. Especially Q.
