Teams begging Sox for Chris Sale
QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 07:03 AM) Oh look Jon Morosi pushing another Chris Sale trade rumor article http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/chicago...santiago-120813 Rosenthal: Asked GM about Sale this morning. Said, "Think teams are pushing Chicago to consider." @jonmorosi said #WhiteSox will listen.

Hahn says trade talks have heated up.
QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 09:34 PM) I would rather work out some kind of 3 way deal with the Dodgers to get Joc Pederson in here in any kind of Sale deal. A left handed middle of the lineup bat that can hang in CF? Sign me up. Putting my GM cap on.... Sox Get Pederson-Julio Urias-Matt MaGill-Paco Rodriguez-Matt Davidson Dbacks get- Matt Kemp-Corey Seager Dodgers get-Sale-Owings Something like that, I just want an impact LH bat to start if I'm trading Sale. Sox have a few guys who could end up being impact RH bats (Abreu, Garcia, Viciedo, Davidson((in this trade)), but nothing on the other side of the football. Super underwhelming return. Any Dodgers deal would start with Pederson Seager and Lee.

Chase Headley
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) Trading Quintana for Headley would be a horrible move IMO, even if he agreed to an extension since you're probably talking about at least 5 years at $15M per season. If you trade Quintana, it's got to be for a young, cost-controlled bat, someone like Castro, where you retain most of your surplus value while filling a major need. Glad to see that Hahn agrees with that logic. I'd still love to get Headley, but the price would have to come down quite a bit for a deal to make sense for us. Jason Castro has 3 years of control left. I'm not 100% sold on him. We'd be buying high. I'd much rather go after Grandal if he's available. I think he's a better overall player and has 5 years of control left.

A Rock/Bucket appearance would be nice right about now.

Chase Headley
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 08:31 PM) http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox/white-...ley-if-they-pay Dan Hayes mentions the White Sox longstanding interest in Chase Headley. San Diego wants Quintana in return. What does everyone think? Quintana is a very important part of the White Sox future but I could get Chase Headley with an extension along with Yasmani Grandal, I think I could part with Quintana and a young reliever. Any thoughts guys? Headley plus an extension along with Grandal would cost more than Quintana. I'd be ecstatic to acquire both of them, but more pieces would have to go to San Diego. It would lock down 3B and C for the foreseeable future.

QUOTE (dayan024 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 08:29 PM) Dan Hayes @DanHayesCSN 1m #WhiteSox want Chase Headley but dont want to part w/ Jose Quintana to get him. Controllable years key. #Padres http://bit.ly/1fbi2pS Rightfully so. If they can extend him I'd be all over this. I'd also try and and add more pieces for Grandal if at all possible. 3B and C would hopefully be covered for years.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 08:00 PM) maybe if you add Holmberg, Eaton, and Bradley. Holmberg was traded to the Reds. But yes, that trade proposal for Sale was light.

Brett Gardner
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 06:42 PM) There is probably not a snowballs chance in hell that they take that deal. Beckham + Beck + Petricka maybe. For one season of Gardner? No thanks.

The White Sox are not signing Tanaka. The White Sox are not signing Choo. This place is starved for a trade rumor.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 11:06 AM) Give me Headley and Grandal A trade for Headley with an extension and Grandal would be fantastic. The cost would be pretty high though.

QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Dec 6, 2013 -> 11:01 AM) I am not convinced that Sanchez isn't Montero all over again, over hyped because of the organization he is in, but a bat that wont play at any other position and a glove that wont let him stay behind the plate. Gary Sanchez is going to be fine behind the plate.

Jonathan Mayo Mock Draft
QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Dec 5, 2013 -> 11:45 AM) I find myself flip flopping back and forth between Hoffman and Kolek at this time. I lean towards Kolek but he is committed so I would hate to waste a #3 pick on a kid that goes to college. Spring will bring another season of college and HS baseball so who knows how the draft pick status will change. Some likely rise and some likely fall. A prep player popped 3rd overall is undoubtedly going to sign.

Masahiro Tanaka
Sounds like the Cubs will be going hard after him.

Sox to Make Hard Push for Granderson
QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Dec 4, 2013 -> 09:20 PM) Not so fast, Soxtalk: https://mobile.twitter.com/NYPost_Mets/stat...338958880223233 Do not want. At all.

So I've been swamped at work today and haven't been up to date with anything baseball related. Any new rumors via Twitter/Soxtalk sources? I need to feed.

Lobaton traded to Nats
QUOTE (Wanne @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 10:28 PM) If we're supposedly rebuilding why not at least rebuild by trying to snag one of the Yankees catching specs in either Sanchez, Murphy or O'Brien. If not drafting Alex Jackson with the 1st wouldn't break my heart if Rodon isn't there.... Not a good chance Jackson stays at C. He's already being profiled as a 3B/Corner OF at showcases.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 07:38 PM) Look at the bright side, if the Sox make no moves, they will be selecting high in the draft in 2015.#rebuilding I'm okay with this.

Dan Hudson Non tendered
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 10:46 PM) Because his price tag was $1.1M. How do you not throw that to him in hopes he can be healthy again. You know how easy it is to be worth $1.1M? I mean s***, we almost gave that much to Tyler Flowers, and he is horrendous when HEALTHY. Mainly because the recovery time for a second Tommy John surgery is longer than the first, and the success rate of pitchers returning after having the procedure for a second time is quite slim.

Twins out, Red Sox in on Pierzynski
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) Lol...this is only about what's best for the team. You can't have players openly questioning the manager's decision-making in front of other teammates. It can create rifts in the clubhouse and effect the manager's ability to effectively lead his team. Yep. Also, I believe Bucket implied that many of his teammates had issues with him. It was around the time Reed plunked him last year. Part of me would like him just so he could be traded at some point next season and part of me doesn't want that douchebag anywhere near the clubhouse.

Twins out, Red Sox in on Pierzynski
As much as I loathe AJ, I wouldn't mind bringing him back just for the purpose of flipping him at the deadline when out of contention. Use him as an inevitable trade chip.

QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 07:59 PM) I don't know who this guy on Twitter is and I also don't know what thread to put it in, so here: Brian Madsen @brianm731 3m Flowers re-signs. Paulie just made up his mind. He gone. #whitesox It's a joke. He's implying Konerko wouldn't even consider returning to a team that had brought back a player of Tyler Flowers caliber.

Fister? Damn near traded her!
Robbie Ray is alright, but man the Nats didn't have to give up much. Kind of a salary dump?
