Did the Cubs do anything?

Man. I used to be a huge Curtis Mead fan. I kinda lost track of what happened with him.

Huh? Tampa?

By not trading him for effectively nothing?

The Fegan article made it sound like the AZ trip/break was largely about a mental reset.

Yea. I'm good not trading Luis for that return. Yuck.

100%. I hope there's been talks of him and Luis together with the Mets. But who knows.

I'm fine with Luis staying if the Bader trade is an indication of value. Houser has to go though.

Oh no. Chris Getz maybe asked for a desirable target in trade negotiations. It's truly unfortunate dialogue ends completely after one player is inquired about.

I mean, if the return is similar to what the Twins got for Bader I'm holding onto him too.

I keep coming back to it. Carson Benge makes soooo much sense for the White Sox unless he's completely untouchable. Slot him into whatever OF position you want and he's an easy part of the next core. I'd be doing whatever I can to see what it takes to pry him loose in a Robert trade. Add pieces if you need to. Throw in Taylor and expand the deal if required. The fact that he hasn't been mentioned in trade rumors for Robert is crazy to me unless he's completely off the table. He fits the mold of the current regime too. Patience at the plate, can play up the middle in CF currently, left handed, and supposedly has off the charts makeup/work ethic.

Love or hate Preller, he sure makes the trade deadline fun.

Holy s%*#.

That's how you know this is a team of destiny.

Crazy how much more enjoyable it is to have both Quero and Teel in the lineup....

Bro just flicked that out of here.

Quero! Great rebuild game.

Maybe Philly should acquire some more relievers tonight.
