  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 01:31 PM) The Union has brought in some heavy legal hitters here. The 2nd name stands out to me. It really seems like the Union wasn't negotiating in good faith. Kessler is they're lawyer, the same man who implied Stern was a plantation owner. Oh and Billy Hunter is the Executive Director of the National Basketball Trade Association. Woop-dee-f***ing-doo.
  2. So, players were denied hard copies of the proposal, not allowed to vote, and the union dropped them immediately post meeting. This has been the NBA vs. the NBAPA vs. The NBA Players They won't win a lawsuit. Also, chances are all contracts get voided. f*** the players union.
  3. SamAmicoFSO Sam Amico NBA union is disbanded immediately. One Western Conference player texts this only: "WTF???" 1 minute ago
  4. The Union denied player reps hard copies of the proposal over the weekend when requested to bring back to non-player reps.
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 14, 2011 -> 10:00 AM) They would have to meet in the NFC Championship. Nevermind then.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 04:55 AM) Q, you're in college, why the f*** you on soxtalk right now? Andrew, you back in NY yet? Shack...go Andy Dalton! And those are the people on ST right now. When the f*** was this? I was probably chilling in my dorm lounge with people. Not a big partier. SoxTalk = ultimate downtime site.
  7. So, the US Today leaked the proposal. It doesn't look bad. It's in the players hands and my guess is, they f*** it up.
  8. The Lions can take their new found "success" and f*** themselves with it. I'd love to see a playoff matchup.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 10:04 AM) Wait, you originally cut out the hot chick on purpose? Wanted wite to fill in the blanks and be angrier. And I didn't cut it out, it came like that.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) I have a paper and a presentation due at 6:00pm today... and I'm on a baseball forum reading about catapults in Middle Earth. Anyone know where I can get some Adderall?
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) There's a decent chance that the Bears will go into Lambeau looking across the way at a 14-0 team. They get a crack at them then. I'd hope to take them down. We're going with a game of running, aggressive defense, and superb special teams. Where does this sound familiar?
  12. "Matheny, 41, doesn't have managerial experience but is no stranger to the game." White Sox are terribly run.
  13. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) Anytime the Miami Marlins hit a home run, this feature will light up in Miami. It's like a Lisa Frank design on meth. Along with the aquarium backstop, that stadium is on Meth. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 04:32 PM) Let's just cut the s*** and call them the Disney Marlins.
  14. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) UZR really liked De Aza's defense last year. Dude put up a 2.8 fangraphs WAR in 54 games. Sure, a lot of that was BABIP, but that's impressive. Holy f***.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 09:40 AM) Rowand, Russ, Heads, How are you guys not 300 pounds? Fixed.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 03:46 AM) Heads, Russ, you guys are disappointments. Q, get out of this thread, you're like 14, you're not even old enough to read this s***... Damn, you caught me. But drunk Heads may seriously be the greatest thing ever...
  17. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 13, 2011 -> 02:04 AM) I guarantee over 1/8th of the players could get an advanced degree if they wanted to. It's really not all that difficult. Basketball pays way better than a masters degree though. Ok, a little hyperbole. But I'd draw the the line at 1/4. Some players come off as exceedingly dumb.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) So, I have an advanced degree...I'll trade pay statements with him. I'm going to do Mizzou's 4+1 Masters (Get the masters in one extra year of school) and that's just so I can expect to get a not s***ty job as a waiter. Nazr Mohammed can go f*** himself. The league should just win the lockout based off his statements alone. The starting Mizzou SG/SF is in my geology lab. Shown up twice. He's paying less for school then me and he'll get to play in Europe or something (I doubt it, but he's getting his degree, so he should make more than the D-League.)
  19. "If this deal is accepted...I advise guys to stay in school and get ur degree, Master's if possible. U might be able to make more $ that way than playing in the NBA in ur 1st five years. Being the 1st pick of the draft would mean nothing." Read more: http://blogs.herald.com/miami_heat/2011/11...l#ixzz1dYHF5h3c f*** Nazr Mohammed. I doubt 1/8th of the players could get a Masters. Kobe, Ray Allen, and role players here or there.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Are we really talking about trading Viciedo again? Do you just not like Cubans or something? Just f***in stop already.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 09:22 AM) So I've had Verizon for a week and I haven't has less than full bars yet.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 12, 2011 -> 09:50 AM) Well, f***, I don't suppose anyone as actually looked at the problems in this trade. First, the White Sox HAVE outfielders. They may not be good outfielders, but they have outfielders. If we are still including Quentin, then they have two big upside bats, one expensive contract with high upside, one talented outfielder, and one jack of all trades outfielder. That's 5 MLB outfielders right there. Jacoby Ellsbury, him, yeah, I get it, he's good. He's not going to be 9.4 WAR good every year, but he's a legitimate 3-5 WAR player, every single year, given health. That's why it's a given here and not on the field. Josh Reddick is an outfielder. Why? Ranaudo was a college pitcher who struggled in his final season in college and did not do well in High-A this year, which is a level he should atleast succeed at, considering all of his factors. I won't rule him out, but, simply, no, no value at this point. In the meantime, the Sox give up their biggest trade chip, their second biggest trade chip, and arguably the most valuable player in the entire organization right now. Um, no You say "Ellsbury, Reddick, Ranaudo for Rios, Danks, Quentin, and Sale," and then we can talk. Until then, that is worse than any of the other hypothetical trades posted on here, which is exactly what it was. If Williams authorized that trade, then he would be canned immediately. You are in rage mode today.
