Oh thank God ?‍☠️?‍☠️?‍☠️

I thought he was about to run through the net

Noooooooooo

He saw Brebbia warning up and decided pounding a Gatorade and heading to the mound was a better idea.

Right before the Rockwood Classic ?

The fact that they had a tweet saying 'our video clipping software is down. Luis Robert hit a home run!' on the home page beneath said video of the home run kinda says it all. The tweet itself — I can almost see the social media producer leaning into the team destitution, knowing the fans are gonna react angrily. But then I see the fact that they still can't fucking format these.

I know! I'm actually watching the WNBA now cause of her (which has expanded to the rest of the rookies) and considered tickets to a Liberty-Fever game until I saw the absolute silly prices. Buuuuut Reese's play where she hit her in the head was like, a normal ass basketball play. That was very obvious on every replay. She missed the ball. If you want to talk about Caitlin Clark, who is not on the Women's Olympic Basketball team, maybe do that in a WNBA thread? Or are we gonna talk about Chet Holmgren being robbed of a spot in the entirety of the men's thread?

so is this thread gonna be about the US Women's Olympic Basketball team or [insert daily generated controversy that is utilizing Caitlin Clark as a surrogate for someone else's talking point]

Just saying, the last time Harold and I both wanted the same player in the draft was Crochet. I am easily swayed by lefties that do cool things.

Ohhhhh. Yeah he won't give a s%*#. I believe the story is that he passed up a name that had "Win" and "Trust" in the deal because it also included Comiskey ("Wintrust Field at Comiskey Park"). Supposedly money was the same?

I am not seeing said article: https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/mlb/chicago-white-sox/

To be fair to Caulfield, I can't find the old thread. Here's snippets i'm assuming he wants to highlight cause they have relevance to today:

When Bannister is promoted to GM, because if you've seen videos of him at work (at least with the Giants), he doesn't treat computers like Zoolander and Hansel.

Surely our GM, with experience as a director of player development, would know better.

Osmosis

Suddenly the argument that "Charlotte is a bad environment for pitchers to develop vs. the majors" seems dumb

In which they are 13-28, a .317 winning percentage.

WE COULDN'T BE HERE WITHOUT HIS LEADERSHIP. AND HE'S GOOD FOR THE PITCHERS, DESPITE THE TWO BEST PITCHERS FORSAKING HIM.

Tbf, he's probably the second best hitting catcher on the 40-man now

It takes a lot of skill to manage the worst 40-man roster of all time

— Getz (1) paid contract inexplicably — Maldonado (1) retained, for some reason

Ball go far, baby.
