2023 MLB Draft thread
Didn't James say he's in Kannapolis? Which feels wild. It'd be exciting if he succeeds, but would be wild.

I'm assuming he's at shortstop.

2023 MLB Draft thread
I feel real dumb because when I initially saw they drafted him on the draft tracker, I saw 4YR-SO and my brain just saw "4YR-S_" I thought we punted with a senior as our #2 pick for savings. Getting a sophomore (who is apparently talented, just coming off injury) to sign for slot value instead of returning to LSU (where he could possibly up his value) seems like a pretty sound gamble from both sides.

White Sox Winner Again!
I'm personally at the point where I'm hoping Ramos/Sosa/Gonzalez becomes the answer.

Nunez gets another hit. Can't wait for the draft picks to hit the ACL.

2024 Starting Rotation Discussion
Another reason I could see Giolito pulling a Chapman with a new GM. Aaron Nola also feels like a Sox rebound contract. I'm just praying for rapid ascension of Montgomery and Ramos, in addition to Sosa and Colas clicking. Cause signing cannon fodder won't cut it.

2024 Starting Rotation Discussion
However unlikely it is, I'd say there's a non-zero chance a new GM could sign Giolito in the 2024 offseason if Katz is still around. I only think this after reading Vinnie Duber's piece on Gio: https://allchgo.com/2023/07/10/with-first-half-in-the-books-time-to-find-out-if-lucas-giolito-white-sox-wishes-come-true/ As @Y2Jimmy0 has pointed out on the FutureSox pod, new CBA rules make it so that tanking multiple years doesn't make sense anymore. So bringing back Gio (again, if he's open to it) isn't the worst plan. It's not pretty, but I could see this: 1. Gio 2. Cease 3. Kopech 4. Toussaint 5. Martin Schlotens / Banks / Crochet are longmen, especially to build Crochet's arm strength.

My guess is that his shoulder is finally healthy.

2024 Schedule Release
Schedule release videos are getting better and weirder The Chargers (and brutal towards other teams) have been absolutely great two years in a row. The Bears this year was phenomenal. Mississippi State was so fucking weird that it was amazing.

Garfein's Latest Podcast...
Personally, if we're moving from Grifol right away and not giving him a shot with a fresh FO and team, I'd like to see a Sox outsider with experience in a dugout.

Suddenly Andrus, Victor Reyes, and Erik Gonzalez are swimming in playing time over Sosa, Popeye and Colas.
