did we have a bullpen coach before?

oh this is replacing Curt Hasler. I thought he was the asst Pitching Coach.

Makes sense.

So this guy would have been Giolito's pitching coach when he completed his collapse in Anaheim?

Let's see what Angels fans are saying:

This is the White Sox punishment for whatever the f*** Giolito did on the Angels

That sucks for the White Sox.

Why are the white Sox out here literally copying the worst parts of the Angels and Royals franchise?

Bonus input from Royals fans:

Must be exciting for White Sox fans that the org keeps hiring from other teams known for their stellar coaching, such as the Royals and Angels!

Maybe he was a baseball guy suppressed by sabermetrics nerd Phil Nevin.

not like Giolito recovered for the Guardians, whose pitching coach I'm pretty sure is good.

Jealousy can be sad.

A bowling ball. Thank you Jerry.

Not a WISE decision.

Apparently no Royals or ex Royals pitching coaches were available. I’m not impressed, but it is a bullpen coach. He probably has to do what he’s told rather than using his own theories which apparently don’t work.

Now do DeWayne for Outfield coach.

I’m sure the Angels bad track record of drafting and signing pitchers didn’t help, not a lot of quality arms in the system but I’m sure that this was approved by Brian Bannister, which is good enough for me. Plus it’s an external hire.

Waiting for someone to try and connect the dots on here and think this is an obvious sign we are in on Ohtani…?

So he’s gonna do fine at opening up a gate for pitchers to come out… cool.

Lots of hot takes about a fucking bullpen coach.  The guy he's replacing must have been worth at least 3-4 wins.  Weird times man.

Should have gotten Breslow, lol...

We are all done cheering for the front office hires so it’s time to move on

That's something I wouldn't have believed. Thank you for the insight. Let's hope this guy is worth 5 or 6.

I'm quite sure hes capable of answering the bullpen phone and telling the appropriate pitcher to warm up
