None of this would happen under Ozzie
My brother's idol is Ozzie Guillen, so I'll use him as a barometer here. He also told me Coop deserved a lifetime pass for '05. Most of the fanbase would probably be cool with trading Colson Montgomery for Carlos Correa or swapping Noah Schultz for Chris Sale. Fans love big familiar names.

None of this would happen under Ozzie
Ozzie was phenomenal from 2004-2006 and 2008, but let's drop him in today's game. He's probably not gonna get a workhorse starter with the Sox, let alone the 4 or 5 that he was used to. Now he needs a reliable defense for his coaching style to work. Lmao with this team. A speedster up top. Right now he'd have Benintendi or TA. TA coached by Ozzie could actually be pretty fun. The bullpen...well. Without the workhorses, I don't see Ozzie having a good time with that. Everyone hated Sunday lineups back when Ozzie was successful - is that going to change now? Ozzie basically hated playing rookies. So expect the Elvises, Grandals, and Fraziers of the world to get playing time over Sosa, Lee, and Colas. He'd want his vet signings. There literally might not be a better fit for Ozzie's style of coaching than Elvis.

8/8 Games
Elko feels like the definition of a rising tide lifts all boats. He's taking pressure off of the other prospects by just being steady and competent, which is so useful and something we've sorely needed. It's also great that Shirley spent a 10th round pick on him vs. a second rounder like Hostetler.

But let's keep playing this game! Who is Ozzie's current employer? Reinsdorf. What are his qualifications? 4 good seasons as a manager (2004-2006, 2008) - the last of which was 15 years ago - and the fact that he rants about the White Sox. And the fact that he used to be attached to the organization. His resume isn't paper thin but the team can and should do better.

None of this would happen under Ozzie
Since his last playoff appearance in 2008, Ozzie has a .498 win percentage. If we add 2007 since that's the cutoff you did for Kenny, he has a .489 win percentage.

Great. AJ can go get some managerial experience in the minors or on a major league bench. f*** first time hires that leverage their relationship with the organization to weasel in here.

Sox marketing of Vaughn lately
Conspiracy time: Vaughn having more home runs in August than all of July shows that he's embracing his new leadership role.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
I'm sorry, what proof do you have other than the Phillies going on a scorcher and eventually to the World Series?

None of this would happen under Ozzie
Ozzie is lazy and has coasted on his reputation since 2008.

I guess this can go here since he's a Yankee and former Sox?

...seriously? The dude is employed by the team. It's not like he's Riordan making weird bodybuilder GIFs of Hahn.

Riordan: Physical altercation between TA and Grandal before AS break
Yeah with Dan Snyder finally gone out I'm struggling to think of one.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
The way this season is going we're going to find out that Jake Burger was traded so the team could get in front of the story that he has to do a demonic blood ritual before every game to hit home runs and run fast.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
Considering Lynn was brought in to be a vet presence, this fucker failed spectacularly. Middleton's cool. Dude's a middle reliever on a vet minimum and showed up mid-downfall. Lynn taught dudes that it's OK to scream at your coaches over cuts of steak? Note: This doesn't absolve anyone on the current roster of anything, but Lynn's s%*# eating grin at the end there is groan worthy.

Riordan: Physical altercation between TA and Grandal before AS break
While there's a decent chance that this is correct, I feel like we need another reporter to verify because @bmags is right that Riordan is indeed a moron.

Mark DeRosa for Manager
I love that the first suggested hire (other than Ozzie) is a guy whose most notable coaching move to date is playing Tim Anderson out of position to help out a star studded lineup.

What about the 1986 season? Or was that just a disaster from a personnel standpoint?
