So honestly, after 2016, I found it a lot harder to hate the Cubs. Probably because I told my dad that he could talk about anything when we went to his brother's for Hanukkah except baseball. Everyone but he and his brothers adhered to this. Don't get me wrong. I still dislike them and won't ever root for them, but now they're probably behind the Twins and Guardians. But for some reason this notion that the Cubs live rent-free in Sox fans' heads and Cubs fans "never" think about it - dear lord what a crock of s%*#.
