Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
Quin replied to Timmy U's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The Padres doled out massive contracts like candy and now it's bit them in the ass. They aren't exactly a poverty franchise. No one held Preller at gun point and forced him to do the Boagerts deal or constantly empty the farm. Yes, the Dodgers can spend more. Just like the Yankees and Mets can. But the Padres have been using all of their ammo and now their fans are moaning that baseball is unfair? Their franchise is practically built on the hubris and stupidity of the White Sox. Blue Jays fans, I get it. Padres fans are just being whiny. -

I feel like this is reserved for Deshaun Watson or Julio Urías -
Where can we get this elite production?

The coaches are gonna want to make the majors eventually. If they had brought Francona up before he was Buddy Bell's third base coach in Detroit, who knows if things shake out differently.

Fans of team that spent billions on a handful of contracts come to shocking revelation that teams have the goal of defeating their division rivals. -

Why didn't the Padres trade for Roki's friends and family? -
Cause his first name is Joseph?

1) This is cool 2) Dear god why are there three fonts, and why does that last one even exist?

I think if Roki wants to be the guy, those are a lot smaller obstacles to overcome than Ohtani, Yamamoto, Mookie and Freeman. Just a hunch. -

Upon double checking, it should just say Czech. But if you didn't follow the WBC: -

The last few years have shown that unless you're a top free agent, Boras playing these games is extremely detrimental.

I feel like the TLR equivalent would be Mike Ditka.

So I know the Bulls 100% need to sell. But then the stupid part of my brain wants them to try and get Zion if they can buy low since he's trying to force his way out.

Caulfield why did you have to bring up Bob Uecker's age. This was an all-time jinx. -

I've seen it and quote it frequently. Why all the characters' ages (and deaths?) suddenly came up, I don't know. -

If the Sox were for sale tomorrow, they'd go for $2 billion easy. Chicago area, marketable brand. The Clippers had nothing and were the second team in their own arena and sold for 2 billion 10 years ago. It's New York, but the Mets sold for $2.4 billion and they share the city with the Yankees. Nets, again, a second team in their city, sold for $2.35 billion — to a person who already owned 49% of the team. A successful White Sox team prints money. JR just doesn't like ~risk~

Were most of these already agreed to or are there any other Dodgers/Padres/Blue Jays defections?

Mark Davis and part-time owner Tom Brady in a stadium where you'll never be the most popular team. Bears have their warts, but Raiders aren't a spring chicken.
