Greg lauding the grandfather of sabermetrics was not on my bingo card, but thus is the current era of Soxdom.

That may have been the roughest sequence of announcing since Pham's shadowboxing. Fletcher: Workman's excited to be here, do what he can. Schriffen: Yeah he did some shitty defense in the first and it cost Shane Smith a lot of pitches. Stone: What errors don't reflect in the scorecard is the toll it takes on pitch— Schriffen: HIT IN THE HEAD...elbow. Workman proceeds to make a nice play.

Didn't have to wait long.

Colson Montgomery to AZ Complex
Oooh, so this is the counter point. No, but he was certainly responsible for his development. Also, Wes Kath.

I'm just waiting for people to start praising Getz for getting Bonemer in the system as Colson "insurance."

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
I feel like Jordan actually works for this jersey.

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
Right, I'm replying to Kyle saying that that limitation is stupid. Especially cause a team like the Sox have an abundance of throwbacks.

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
I've wished that instead of beach blankets every Sunday, they would rotate throwbacks for Sunday uniforms. They have so many classics and it would print money because it would give people different options to choose from, but Nike gonna Nike.

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
Eh, the '59 jersey red is still there. Just because it wasn't a dominant color doesn't mean it wasn't visible / a distinct part of their jersey/logo.

On the other hand: Everyone that spent the past five years hating on the Southside jerseys is now getting a "careful what you wish for" moment.

New City-Connects: Bulls / Sox collab
Red is a historical Sox color, so the bolded is talking out of their ass. The more I look at these, the more I realize my issue with them: The black pinstripes. It's an element from the Sox jerseys, which is hypothetically good to keep, but they never existed for the Bulls. It creates this weird, uncanny valley effect where it almost looks like a Bulls jersey, but something is off. If they had just done a red jersey (keep the black sleeves) with the cursive Chicago script that both teams (historically) share, I think they'd be less jarring / would come across as something better than a Reinsdorf-special. It's irking me because it was so close. The pants, hat, sleeves and logo all look good. It's just the torso.

Like my response to the leaks: Love / hate. Hat is a home run. I actually wasn't a fan of the Chi hat, so this is a step up. Sleeveless look is great. You can even argue that it connects to the city, with the dynasty being such a fundamental piece of the city's sporting history. But because it's JR, this feels like a cheap cop out. Also, Miguel Vargas is throwing sass.

I can't think of the last time a league collectively humbled a dude like this. If he doesn't get picked in the 4th, I think he could fall out of the draft. If you're a head coach do you want to bother with Shedeur's online fanboys and ESPN's screaming heads (Kiper, Stephen A.) banging the table that your backup QB needs to start games all while Deion starts publicly angling for your job?

I'm wondering if they're waiting to see if Elko can do this for one more month since he's a .babip merchant (which, to be fair, he always has been) with a 30% strikeout rate (which has also stayed consistent). He's finally walking this season, which is good.
