You do realize they were exploring it, he heard about it, and shouted it from the rooftops, right? Now, more research has been done and the FDA is going to allow emergency use. But it's still not overwhelming and not surefire guarantee, and an editorial board post courtesy of Murdoch doesn't change Trump's reckless behavior.

Just want everyone to know 100,000 - 200,00 Americans dead is considered "reasonable" now.

One of my co-workers (who I did not personally know) passed away from this. Several people have been diagnosed, fortunately well after the work from home orders were issued.

+1 Deaths doubled in two days yesterday. As of this morning, it's well on its way to do that again. That's with massive societal preventative measures. If it keeps doing that, we're in a bad, bad places.

So many deaths could have been prevented.

I didn't say you throw trash around. The point was, they want to keep their routine in the face of a lethal pandemic.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Greg is like the people outside my apartment. When the weather is nice out, usually 8-10 people gather on the stoop of my apartment building. Only live in the building. It's real fucking loud, but it's New York City, so it only gets frustrating when the cigarette smoke wafts into my apartment and their music is shaking my window at 2 AM. We've had some good weather during the pandemic, but people have stayed in. Businesses have lines to get in, with 6-feet apart for the line outside. Yesterday, weather is good and we have 6 people gather on the stoop for half the day. They wear gloves, but that's it. They're eating takeout on the stoop, which they then left the trash from (and I definitely wasn't going to touch it to toss it out). But when my fianceé or I had to walk our dog, we had to walk through a tightly packed group of 6 people because they didn't give a shit and can't stay indoors during a fucking lethal pandemic.

Right, but if state governments Nationwide clear gatherings of say, 500, they might be good to go. Holding out for 30,000 might cost the season, just because they want fans. Edit: If you're only cleared for a limited amount of people and no fans, use the extra room. Sit space out and sit in the stands.

Field of Dreams Game Cancelled
I'm 100% ripping off a Reddit thread that proposed this, but depending on when the season starts, how would everyone feel about the Sox and Yankees opening the season at the Field of Dreams? This is already gonna weird season, but it would have massive sentimental feel.

They may need to risk not playing in front of fans for a short while if they want to get started ASAP.

He's addressed that. It's because we're testing at a much higher capacity. You know the cases are out there, so you want to find them.

Oddly enough, very calm feel in NY, at least in my area of Brooklyn and my brief foray into Manhattan. Cuomo has been on top of shit.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
I live in NYC. I can walk to the store and grab bread, food, toilet paper, pharmacies are open, I can walk my dog, etc. I just can't galavant around willy nilly, hang out in bars, play sports in the park. I'm working from home. But I'm getting by, getting air, people can go on runs to get exercise. The only reason toilet paper is selling out is because of people like you causing panic. Coronavirus doesn't give you the shits. No one told you to stock up on it.
