  1. The Ross Detwiler fanclub is furious. They will not stand for this
  2. Sox basically had the only good players weekend look, would be better with white/gray pants. That being said, the Sox logo is classic. Maybe do this as an alternate away jersey, but I'd leave the home alternate alone.
  3. Most important thing for me was the strikeout/walk rate, as the rest (power being the primary thing), could be attributed to being tired from college. So I'd call the first year a success.
  4. I mean, flip side: - The Sox did find (but not develop) Tatis. - 26-year-old Rusney Castillo was supposed to be superior to Abreu and was signed for $72M, was "polished", and the Red Sox have been burned hard.
  5. Maybe Burger before his injuries. He had the college pedigree. It's just people don't think that because he's big and labeled him a DH.
  6. dWAR isn't calculated using errors, but a whole host of other factors. https://www.baseball-reference.com/about/war_explained_position.shtml dWAR will tell you Jeter isn't a Gold Glover, whereas errors alone and some flashy plays makes him a god to those who can only do surface research.
  7. No more discussion on political philosophies past this point.
  8. Sorry, I was saying it tongue in cheek due to Abreu-Vaughn-Sheets when Abreu re-signs. That's if both Sheets and Vaughn pan out. It's like Mercedes at 3rd.
  9. I'm wondering when we first see him in RF for a game.
  10. If he gets even a two year deal, he'll ideally be in a lineup with Vaughn.
  11. I kinda want to see how Abreu performs in a lineup filled with Madrigal, Robert, Eloy, Vaughn, Collins, Moncada and Anderson.
  12. As if Yolmer Sanchez is letting anyone in that club go unhydrated.
  13. Eh, I can't blame Luck. He's leaving with his brain intact.
  14. He's in San Antonio, eating churros, preparing for his future role as a DH.

    Tax day 2020

Bring them up on April 16. Say it was to help them save money on their taxes for the year.
  16. Fortunately, my renter's insurance covered theft and due to the sheer volume of games stolen (many PS3 games I hadn't played since getting a PS4), I was able to get a good TV (Black Friday sales extended into the weekend not long afterwards) and replace my PS4.
  17. To make you feel better, Greg: Halloween weekend in college, came home from a party, and being a few drinks in, was quickly soon asleep. Fast forward a few hours and my roommates dog (a few months old at this point) is barking. She was sleeping in a crate in the hallway between our bedrooms (upstairs), because my roommate wasn't home. Since I was sleeping off the drinks and because the dog barked every night, I figure what the hell, she's just antsier than usual. In the morning I get a text from my roommate, now home, asking where her liquor bottles were at. I was confused, so I got dressed and came downstairs and saw that my TV, PS4 and all of my PS4/PS3 games were missing (she thought I brought them to my friend's apartment, which we occasionally did). Turns out that we had forgotten to lock our patio door / put the block of wood in the door that prevents the sliding door from opening. So in the middle of the night some guys slipped the door open and rummaged through the downstairs. Now, as for what has come of society: People have always been shits Greg. Since the concept of owning stuff came about, people have stolen stuff.
  18. It's like I don't even know who you are.
  19. I kind of wish they rotated a different throwback each Sunday. They have enough different ones that they could do it.
