I think you can make either LaMelo or Deni work with the existing team while simultaneously keeping the cheaper contract of the #4 pick, which will be important for the coming free agent classes.

The fact that this is with Bummer, Rodon, Lopez, and Kopech out is huge. Dudes are stepping up. Hahn has spent a decent amount of draft, minor league free agent, and international spending money (that they couldn't use anyway) resources on developing relief arms and this year it's coming to fruition.

To be fair, he's batting right behind our rookie phenom that is a highlight reel every time he steps on the field, an All-Star catcher, the guy who hit the 2nd most home runs in the last decade, the sophomore slugger, the team leader, the star third baseman, and a batting champion. Like, the lineup is hypothetically stacked when it's hitting on all cylinders. There's no shame in where he's hitting right now.
