  1. QUOTE (zisk @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 01:41 PM) typical KW draft pick.great athlete, looks fab in the uniform. Only problem is he's not a baseball player. Man, don't know who it was last year that looked awesome defensively and was hitting. Guess it was just an athlete.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 10:29 AM) Bulls doing something creative like using cap space for picks is something I wouldn't bet on. But, phil's stupiditiy aside, the package he was asking for Porzingis was legitimate. I don't think they are giving him away. He's not Gar Forman. Was that before or after he tried to package in Noah? Because that's where it went full blown stupid. Also yeah, I couldn't sleep this morning.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 11:53 PM) But just think if we'd just have lost 10 more games we could have gotten somebody so much better than Burger and Rodon and Fulmer. Damn, if we'd just lose more often our great front office would come through. Rodon was the third pick that slid. He would have been taken regardless. One or two more losses turns Fulmer into Benintendi. Burger was a money saver in a draft featuring little top end talent. Nice troll job, Gregory.
  4. The most awkward trades to ever go down, featuring incompetence and more. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y8ypt6vr Bulls-Knicks: Kristaps Porzingis, Joakim Noah for Lauri, D-Wade, $4.3M trade exception (Butler) and a PG (in this case, Demetrius Jackson from Celtics from later deal). Reasons why Bulls do it: Kristaps, duh. Noah becomes an albatross contract, but it is what it is. It'll be mad awkward bringing Jo back to this front office, but Jimmy is gone so maybe he becomes the locker room leader. Reason why Knicks do it: Jackson's incompetence. Supposedly wants to use Kristaps to dump Noah, apparently loved Markkanen if he traded Kristaps. Wade becomes a massive expiring / star power for Knicks. They get a trade exception and a young point guard to trial run. Bulls-Celtics: Zeller, D. Jackson + 2019 1st Round Pick (Grizzlies) or 2018 1st Round Pick (Celtics), and 2019 2nd Round Pick (Detroit) for Lopez, $8M trade exception (remaining Butler). Reasons why Bulls do it: Getting picks, getting rid of a useful player. Reasons why Celtics do it: Upgrade their center position, get a trade exception that could be used in a Hayward sign-and-trade (I think). Bulls-Lakers: Luol Deng for Rajon Rondo, 2019 Lakers 1st round pick. Reasons why Bulls do it: Getting a pick Reasons why Lakers do it: Getting out of Deng's albatross and they can decline Rondo's option, making signing future FAs (George, LeBron, etc.) a more distinct possibility. Overall Bulls in: Kristaps, Noah, Deng, Zeller, 2019 1st (Grizz) or 2018 1st (Celtics), 2019 2nd (Pistons), 2019 1st (Lakers), worse overall Overall Bulls out: Lauri, Wade, Lopez, Rondo, trade exceptions 2018 Tank Line PG: Grant/Dunn/Payne SG: LaVine/Valentine/Canaan SF: Deng/Zipser PF: Kristaps/Portis C : Felicio/Zeller/Noah Either let Niko walk or sign-and-trade him for whatever you can get. You'll be in cap hell for the next three seasons, but pray that you get one of Porter, Bamba, Ayton or Doncic next year and Bagley or Williamson the following. Bust your ass convincing Kristaps you have a plan (firing Gar helps) and hope that Grant, Dunn, LaVine, Valentine, Zipser, Portis and Felicio show growth.
  5. I especially liked the part where you based Burger being a bust on absolutely nothing.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 09:32 PM) Wrong. I got reamed over the Hillary thing. I had maybe 1, 2 people half-assed support a position or two of mine on her. Aside from that, there was mass hysteria all over me. I was told to quit calling her Hilly. I was attacked whenever I attacked her. If I mentioned her upcoming coronation I was lambasted. Any time I cited a book or article on how mean she was, they blasted the author. Hillary should hold a Soxtalk convention to reward her supporters. Even my love of Bernie was thrown aside because Hillary was the choice. In this instance, I do not #StandWithGreg
  7. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 03:41 PM) I'm at the game right now and I see it. Edit: nevermind I thought you were talking about the words "the catch". Yeah, it's only ever been the words. No imprint.
  8. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 03:56 PM) Unless you're continuously covered you'll be barred from getting insurance for 6 months. They want people dead. I meant source. There's so much to digest here.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 02:42 PM) Kanter? He makes Boozer look competent on defense. Also, and this is just my preference, I'd rather have one of Bamba/Ayton over Porter. At least for now. A lot can change between now and next draft, of course. Take Porter, because Bagley can be the next center But seriously, bulls need to go all out on picks
  10. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 12:47 PM) How fun would it be if the Bulls got their hands on Michael Porter Jr and signed Boogie/Embiid/Kanter next year? PG- Dunn (Hope he develops) SG- Lavine SF- Porter PF- Markkanen C- Cousins/Embiid/Kanter Be the luckiest they've been since 1.7%
  11. I think Zach Lowe's take is the best on this. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/prese...icago-bulls-nba Kinda was a s***ty move that they had to make because Rose's injury basically death spiraled the team, they've made dumb-ass moves (Payne), good ones (Portis, Mirotic no matter how frustrating they are) and ones that had logic (Pau, McDermott). Also that the Warriors intimidation factor helped drive Jimmy's price down. Still annoying as hell that they traded the #38 when they lucked into Bell falling there. Also resurrected the group that thinks Bulls and Sox have the same finances as they then complained about Burger signing for roughly the same amount.

QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 12:24 PM) I don't personally think we will get THAT much but these are probably close. I'd go Astros though That's why I included the +, because Q on his own can't draw those packages after his start. Would also likely have to scrap Mateo and Tucker for lesser pieces.
  13. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 12:00 PM) Now there's a mandate?? You can't script this s***. Where at?

  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 11:46 AM) That doesn't mean they didn't do some shady s***. Bernie is no saint. You know that I don't deify him.

Which offer do you take for Q: Astros - Tucker, Paulino, Fisher, Colin Moran Dodgers - Verdugo, Calhoun, Buehler, Kyle Farmer Rockies - Rodgers, Tapia, McMahon, Almonte Yankees - Frazier/Rutherford, Mateo, Sheffield, Florial Which deals would require a + (be it Frazier for the Yankees, relievers for the others) to get it done, how much, etc.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 10:37 AM) His daughter is throwing it. That is precious. Cheers to the most unique pitcher to ever play the game.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 10:41 AM) Flake is pretty vulnerable in Arizona. Ted Cruz, to a lesser extent. Right now, 14 Dems sweating it out, maybe Heller and Flake the ones in some danger on the right. Hard to imagine Planned Parenthood gutting not causing Collins and Murkowski to have a serious quandary. Collins and Murkowski will likely get in line.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 12:46 AM) I'm just responding to a post. Why don't u guys go after the initial post person and their view of life? Because I'm not attempting to go after you maliciously. Just pointing out that the world hasn't been rainbows and butterflies and we actually live in better and better times than before. The only problem is with how the world works, if it bleeds it leads.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2017 -> 02:31 AM) Bank fraud?? I love Bernie. I wonder if I was mistaken in my fandom of him. Wait to see if anything comes of it. Likely nothing will.
  21. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 04:40 PM) literally gerrymandering. that's it. that's the cause. almost every district these days is a "safe" district where the incumbent in the popular party will win with 60-70% of the vote. that creates a massively partisan culture in congress and creates a massively partisan culture in the districts among the people. Yup. Get rid of gerrymandering and it'd go a looooooong way. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 11:23 PM) I'm not naive. I've been chased by gangs on the South Side. I've seen it all. I know suburbia. I know the city. I didn't start this thread by the way. Read the initial post. I just responded to it like not many did. Greg. You've been overwhelmed with the information available to you now since the days of you taking a train from Chicago to Lawrence. Because you can see more now (including the atrocities and hate) in the world, you think there is more. It has always been there, it was just hidden from you.
  22. Dear lord, Greg. I wish I lived in your world sometimes.
  23. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 11:22 AM) I still can't get over the fact Zach LaVine played on a torn ACL for 6 minutes. Just crazy. It's possible. I played a bit of sports right after tearing mine (before the swelling begun) then for eight months after tearing it, this was with a meniscus tear. Thing was, since I could still run, jump and cut I had no idea it was torn.
