  1. Hot damn, Wolves are gonna be a GOAT level defensive team with Thibs and all that athleticism.
  2. So we've got... Team Jimmy/Pau Team Noah/Rose Pau, Jimmy and Jo were the ones that wanted Thibs gone if I remember correctly, so Thibs can exist on his own. McDermott trained with Jimmy, so we can add him there. Taj loves everyone. Dunleavy just does what he needs to. Portis probably team Hoiberg. Both Noah and Butler ragged on Hoiberg. Paxson likes Noah, Forman likes Pau. Pax liked Thibs and Forman until the JVG episode. The moral of the story? Too many god damn politics going on with this team and the only person who is innocent is Taj motherf***ing Gibson.
  3. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 02:28 PM) It's getting to the point where you have to consider moving him. He's not a number 1 guy on a championship team. He would be a great number 2, but what number 1 is going to want to play with that Ego? He's become a bit of a monster. Tom Thibodeau is a leading candidate for the Minnesota job. Should be a fascinating team but in the wrong conference at the moment. Jimmy clashed with Thibs (it sounded like Rose, Taj and Dunleavy were the Thibs backers) Jimmy supposedly clashed with Rose Jimmy supposedly clashed with Noah according to Cowley. Come on Jimmy. Get rid of the damn ego.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 07:28 PM) Funny thing is... you weren't until Quinarvy called you out on it a while back. I thought it was Kyyle?

    Didn't we have this thread?
  6. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 09:03 AM) I want the cubs to go all the way, and lose... To the White Sox. It would be total chaos! And their fans couldn't jump on the Sox bandwagon.

    A nice Article

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 01:40 AM) Should also be praised for developing Marcus Semien. The quietest four homers from any hitter in baseball. If we could get that type of pop with just league average defense at SS, this team would really be dangerous. Article about pitchers. Talk about Semien.
  8. Kobe's last career play is an assist to Clarkson. He has passed the torch.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 12:01 AM) Yep. He had about 45 pts on 45 shots with roughly 3 minutes to go. And from that point on he went crazy and the Jazz forgot how to play basketball. If only we got OT, he could have gotten that 100 game. Or he''d die of exhaustion.
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) They keep mentioning an exclusive club of athletes to spend 20+ years with one team, but aren't mentioning Ted Lyons. I mean across everything covering Kobe. A lot of them even include older baseball players.

    4/13 Games

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) Love that Lassiter and Coats, two guys I was higher on than most, are both starting off hot. They are similar in some ways - outfielders taken late in the draft after issues in college (knee blow-out for Coats, personal issues for Lassiter). Both guys that normally would have gone much higher in the draft. Neither with any super-loud tools, but both with a number of good to very good tools. Those guys tend to fly under the radar. All the props to you for calling Coats.
  13. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) PR 101 move. Easy call by them. Let's see if Pax looks pissed and Gar looks scared.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 04:35 PM) Reviews pouring in for Civil War and thus far they all seem to be really positive. I'm sure the movie is just rainbows and unicorns though. So funny.
  15. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 04:26 PM) No, that article said that the Kings balked at lowering the protection on the pick and then the Bulls declined to go any further. Based on that article, when the Sixers got involved, the Bulls would have gotten McLemore and Koufos for Gasol, Snell, Hinrich and a 2nd with no changes to the protection on the Deng pick... Ah, my bad.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2016 -> 04:15 PM) This is what was said in the earlier Goodwill article. So the pick was going to be lowered. Damn.
  17. I really want to know the details of the Pau-Kings deal.

    Adam Engel

"Adam Engel is a near-Mike Trout-level athlete. I know that sounds ridiculously hyperbolic, but I say it with unblinking sincerity. There are more 80-grade runners out there than one might think (largely because a lot of them can’t hit at all and thus never get any press), but very few of them have Trout’s dimensions of 6’2″ and 230 pounds. Engel is 6’1″ and 215, which is about as close as you’re going to get, and he was considered the fastest player in the collegian draft class last year. And boy, is he ever:" http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/prospect-wa...sy-outfielders/
  19. But in all seriousness, Bauer should pay for it.

FanGraphs once famously said Mike Trout level athlete.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) He doesnt have a fraction of the speed of Dyson/Gore. I think you forget how Leury is really damn fast.
