QUOTE (Condor13 @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:51 AM) Sorry just saw this Daryl Van Schouwen – Verified account @CST_soxvan Roster cuts today. Not official but Davidson, Carlos Sanchez, Leury Garcia, Kahnle, Coats appear to be among them. Well, that narrows it down to Sands and Ishikawa, doesn't it?

Being a homer is fine - whenever I tend to call sporting events I end up having a bit of a homer-ish tone to my announcing. The problem is you can't be homerish to the point of being wrong half the time, which is what Hawk has become.

Well, this scene WB released simultaneously answers and raises several questions. Also the Knightmare scene and other stuff was hell to follow for me and I've at least read a decent chunk of DC comics. Also Metropolis and Gotham are across the harbor from each other in the comics. I think they're somewhere in New Jersey? Central City is in the midwest. Worth noting that cities like New York, LA, Chicago, etc. all still exist.

QUOTE (bshah723 @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) $424 million dollars this weekend. Making it the highest grossing comic book movie of all time. Seems like critics and sox talk hate the movie but the world still went to go watch. Next few weeks like Balta said the numbers will more than likely drop due to bad reception. It's not a movie for everyone, but watching the trinity on screen together is/was amazing. Bring on suicide squad baby!!! Let's see how a non synder movie is made. I love David Ayers work. There was never any doubt that it would make bank opening weekend.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 10:27 AM) And we appreciate that. https://twitter.com/pgammo/status/714098886101479424 Based on last season, they should have taken Spencer Adams over Tyler Kolek.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) Why was Wonderwoman in this movie? Suddenly she appears! Somehow Bruce Wayne knows. This reminded me. How the f*** did he get her email address?

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 11:07 PM) I honestly think people are just piling on this movie now because it's become the thing to do, and then pointing to critics to justify their preconceived opinion. These same critics loved Age of Ultron, and that was an utter disappointment. I can see not loving BvS, I can even see calling it average...but I outright disagree that it was bad. I personally loved it, and I was only expecting to like it. Age of Ultron was extremely disappointing. Yet somehow had a more coherent plot and character than this film. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 11:28 PM) Marvel and DC movies are so much different from each other, I don't even like the compare them. I get tired of the constant "who's side are you on" question. I'm pretty sure both probably want the other to be successful. If each company starts putting out bad movies, the Superhero phase will die out, which it will eventually do anyway sometime in the future. But until then, if both companies make great movies, the competition will only help both franchises financially. This. Only superhero film I wanted to fail was Fant4stic. If Civil War and Suicide Squad aren't home runs, my guess is BvS would be the beginning of the end.

I will say I enjoyed some of the occasional Easter Eggs.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 10:57 PM) Couldn't disagree more. I'd give it a 7.5-8 of 10. Wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I really liked it. Yeah, I obviously went in with low expectations due to reviews, but also my theater might as well have been a morgue. There were the makings of a great film in there, but it died in the editing room.

Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons were great. Gal Gadot was good. Otherwise that might have been the worst film I've ever spent money at the theater on. Holy hell. It just tried too hard in every way. Give Nolan any amount of money to helm the DCEU. In other DC Film news, still amped for Suicide Squad and the Lego Batman trailer was great.

Two friends dragging me with them to see it tonight. Considering both it's critic RT and the audience RT keep slipping, I'm not holding out hope. I want this to be the movie JS described, but we'll see.

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) No comment That was in regards to big box office = good movie. It's a poor defense for any movie. Thor 2 did well at the box office and was easily the worst Marvel film.

QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 11:44 AM) And the amazing thing is JR's other team is known across the sports world for having one of the best medical staffs, and is always #1 in terms of players not missing time on the DL. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 12:00 PM) Yeah, so weird. There's a huge overlap in the medical staff. Which makes me think it's more of an issue with the training staffs.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 12:08 PM) I forgot how a big office means a movie is good. Of course it's going to make a crap load of money no matter what. Transformers agree.
-
I keep forgetting how much rainbow-y Iron Man, Winter Solider and Incredible Hulk were. Cause they really weren't.

Q will be forever underrated.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) I would lol forever if ESPN somehow acquired Deadspin after all of this. I'd see The Ringer as more likely.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) Disagree. People knew Thibs was weird, a basketball junkie, stubborn. The Bulls hired him with all of these things being known and then all the sudden these things bother them. Gar fires his right hand man, hires Jen Swanson to tell him who is allowed to play and how much, and then basically openly courted Hoiberg while Thibs was still coaching. I'm not even gonna count the supposed meeting where Gar told the team to listen to themselves and not Thibs. You can lay a small amount of blame at Thibs feet but not much. Thibs' refusal to hire an offensive assistant (which could be retaliation for Adams), but wasn't Ron Adams fired in response due to criticizing the FO? Also, Thibs messed up by having JVG go to war on national television. JR would have defended him otherwise.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 05:14 PM) Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 2m2 minutes ago Two starts ago, John Danks tipped his pitches and Dioner Navarro caught it. Since then he's put up 11 straight scoreless innings. But Tyler Flowers was so valuable defensively!
-
Yeah, I didn't expect this film to get hammered this bad. BvS needed a winner here, especially with Civil War looming. I can only imagine the s*** show this would have been had DC not budged on that shared release date they had.

All you need to know about how LaRoche has been fanning the flames is a Pittsburgh sports writer was the one to break the news first.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) Honestly...he's the worst coach I can remember the Bulls having. Makes Del Negro look good. I just don't think he puts in the time and its purely on perception cause it isn't like I'm in the building but I don't think he's discipline enough to drill the message in. Boy did the Bulls/Thibs f*** up royally when they couldn't figure out how to co-exist. +1 Both Thibs and Gar are to blame for that split, not one or the other like people love to pretend.
