Why are people bidding over $400 for a Dan Jennings gift basket?
-
Dye is wearing his old #23. If we swap him and Robin, no one will ever know.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 06:29 PM) That adds to the intrigue. He's going to be on all time lists for players that cost themselves millions. No kidding. If he accepts the QO, hopefully he has a resurgent year and can be traded. Also, I enjoy learning about opposing players when Swirsk announces.

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 03:43 PM) No trayce again. Sigh.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 28, 2015 -> 06:16 PM) You'd think the lawyer would fact-check something so simple like that. That right there can honestly cause the whole thing to fall apart.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 29, 2015 -> 01:04 PM) How about the Illini's futility under Tim Beckman? Yeesh. 12-25?

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 28, 2015 -> 06:14 PM) The national media thinks of us as a bunch of Cub hating, umpire attacking losers who become relevant once a decade. Glad that makes you happy. And even IF the AL and NL are comparable, the Cubs are 20+ games over and the White Sox are certified trash. The national media doesn't think of the White Sox fanbase.

Is Chris Sale the best pitcher that the Sox have ever had?
Quin replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The way I look at Walsh v. Sale... If Walsh took 1913 off as planned or had reduced his workload in previous years, we could be talking about one of the best pitchers of all time, not just the White Sox. For a seven year stretch he was other worldly. And Chris Sale has a chance to surpass Walsh as the best pitcher in White Sox history. We're pretty lucky that that's a possibility. -
I'd say building the '05 team was pretty shrewd. That doesn't just happen.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 28, 2015 -> 08:18 AM) The NL is better than the AL overall, though. They have the hardest division in baseball. They'd be 30 over in the AL Central. lol

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 03:05 PM) "17. Rose started asking Jane to perform masturbatory acts while on Skype, which made her uncomfortable. Rose would get upset and berate her for refusing, so Jane stopped Skyping with him. a. When Jane confided in her friends about her discomfort with his request, they told her that it was normal for couples to do that. Jane began to believe that there was something wrong with the prudish way she was raised. Jane was brought up in a traditional, religious household where a woman should have sex with only one person - her spouse. She had not masturbated before and thought only guys did it and coudl not imagine herself doing it." Riiiiiiiiighhhhhhttt. Innocent little princess who just happens to start f***ing an NBA player. So pure and innocent i'm sure. This just keeps getting stranger.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 09:05 AM) So straight to a lawsuit? No police investigation for potential charges? Civil suit, not a criminal one.

Obviously can't be simply dismissed, but TMZ's reporting just makes it sound very...fishy? According to this report he'd have been dating her at the same time as Meika Reese, who he seems to be on pretty good terms with still. If someone broke into her apartment, then there'd be a lot of evidence. And it's a civil suit, not a criminal one. As for the whole "they can get anyone they want" argument, it's stupid. Rape is much, much more complicated than that.

He's definitely out.

Could White Sox trade some pitching to fill other areas in offseason

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 06:23 PM) If the Sox can somehow find a way to get Arenado without giving up Q or Rodon. I will dance around naked. Sale? QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 06:51 PM) Colorado's system is actually pretty good, they're just really young and are a few years (2-3) from contributing. I'd send Davidson, Micah, Montas, Danish, and Hawkins for Arenado and LeMehieu. If they want Anderson, I'd think about it. The Rockies laugh at that and hangup. -

Between him and Walsh. Shame we don't have footage to compare. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 04:54 PM) Biggest argument to not remove guns from the streets is then we the people have zero protection from a government / military controlling us. All that said, all the guns in the world wouldn't protect us from our own military. I love that argument. If the US military ever decided to go crazy and control people, it'd be game over in about 10 seconds. -

QUOTE (GREEDY @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 03:06 PM) I forgot about Rodon. But they wouldn't trade him for Quintana, Abreu, Johnson & Anderson. Then the Rockies would be goddamn fools. -

QUOTE (Knackattack @ Aug 26, 2015 -> 01:17 PM) Don't think Anderson gets traded. For Arenado, I don't see how they wouldn't. Arenado-Saladino-Sanchez-Abreu could be the best infield on defense, and Arenado and Abreu bring offense. -
