  1. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 10:45 PM) 1) Sale 2) Q 3) ? 4) Rodon 5) Danks Who will be our #3? I guess Noesi, sadly. Depends on how much they trust EJ on possibly rebounding or how fast they think Beck or Bassitt can develop. Then you've got to see how they think Adams/Montas/Danish/Martinez develop.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 06:44 PM) Alcantara has already been slumping after a nice start. Baez with 13 K's in 33 AB's, although a bit of an improvement over 10/23. OTOH, their young pitcher Hendricks is doing a pretty good impression of Greg Maddux Lite. Or Dylan Axelrod? I have no idea how the comparison can be Maddux or Axelrod. That's a very wide spectrum.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) There are posters who hate Dunn so much they will claim he's blocking Jared Mitchell if necessary. Adam Dunn is blocking Tyler Danish.
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 12:57 AM) Rooting for losses is unquestionably a s***ty thing to do. I don't care to question your fandom. The Sox still shouldn't have landed Rodon. He probably shouldn't have slipped. Would the losses be worth it then? It's just an ugly argument. I'd rather just play the ignorance card when the team isn't in contention (like now) and then be pleased to see a high draft pick after the fact. Rooting for losses would feel really dirty. I'm down. But as others have said, just enjoy the now and having Rodon.
  5. QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 05:56 PM) You can be happy with the result without pulling for them to lose. Not saying you can't, I mean the people that said people who pulled for losses aren't real fans.
  6. Everyone missing dunks. AD, Klay, Rose.
  7. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) Seeing Derrick in these all star teams / national teams is just a bit awkward. He's not a great half court player, he's not a creative passer and court vision is only average, and there are better scorers on the team than he is. Derrick Rose sucks we should cut him.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 08:21 PM) Anthony Davis...wow. Derrick, start recruiting your fellow Chicagoan now.
  9. Apparently Rose gave a pregame speech about stopping violence in Chicago.
  10. I'm missing Rose being introduced at the UC. Damn you ESPN.
  11. I miss having ESPN News. LLWS go away!
  12. Nice hit by Avi! Nice slide by Gordon! LOL at Reimold.
  13. Avi is fun.
  14. This feels weird to watch.
  15. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 10:44 PM) A friend of mine, who is friends with E'twaun Moore, said Moore told him he'll be signing with the Bulls. Think he's a quality 13th man. Rose-Hinrich-Brooks Butler-Snell-Moore MJD-DMD Taj-Niko-Bairstow Noah-Pau I like Moore as a 13th man. If we can sign one more big like Brand we'd be set.
  16. QUOTE (Tmar @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) Oh great now we get to hear bears fans talk about how Holmes is best 3rd receiver in the history of the nfl, amirite tru and witesoxfan Lolol HE IS TEH GREATEST 3RD RECEIVER EVA DA BEARS BUT DAT BUM CUTLAH WON'T USE HIM PROPERLY CAUSE AND WILL TROW PICKS. SHOULDA SIGNED MCNOWN AND CUT DAT BUM. I HATE CUTLAH. DITKA. DA BEARS. Ok, now that that's out of the way I like the signing.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 05:38 PM) Seriously, those extra few losses last year might be huge for the immediate future of this franchise. Along with the stupidity of the Astros and Marlins. But also remember, those of us that pulled for the team to lose back then were not real fans.
  18. God damn Rodon is exciting. Well worth the extra loss or two to the Cubs.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 09:12 AM) He only wanted an excuse to mention Carter, Morse and Young
  20. They should sing some cheesy 80s power ballad instead.

Also Adams now has 54 strikeouts to 4 walks. Ridiculous.

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 03:21 AM) Bassitt starting to get interesting. Larry at SSS noted that his slider is much improved this year. I wouldn't doubt him based on the K% since his return. He's looking more and more like a possible back of rotation arm/high leverage reliever now. Why would we doubt him because of the K%? It's ridiculous right now. It should be encouraging.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 11:00 PM) Where do u live? Why the heck would want the White Sox to leave Chicago? That's insane. They've been playing there since about 1900. WTF? With all due respect, I've never read something so horrible from a Sox fan. Wanting them to move??? Greg and I agreeing is a strange feeling.
  24. Couldn't root for the Cubs. It would depend where I lived. Do the Sox keep the name? They'd likely become my second team with my first team being whoever is geographically close to me and none of the following: Twins, Royals, Indians, Tigers, A's, Yankees, Cubs.
