  1. I was listening in the car. Apparently Stony did a massive jinx?
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2014 -> 06:27 PM) The LeBron nut huggers are twice as bad. They have no real reason to attach to the guy, except for frontrunning. I've always disliked Bron Bron because he plays for my favorite team's rival.
  3. Goodnight, sweet prince. Or something like that.

    This thread is a microcosm of Soxtalk as a whole.

    QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 21, 2014 -> 10:56 PM) Everyone is individual. It certainly didn't impact Quentin in 2008, or Eaton coming out of the gate this season with the Sox. Gillaspie has proven he belongs at the big league level too...it's not like Brandon McCarthy "deserved" to be the odd man out in 2006, but that's also what happened. Conor's emergence is creating a nice little dilemma. Sell high on Conor? Package Davidson for a piece? Somehow keep both?
  6. Looked like Coop and Ventura arguing?
  7. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 21, 2014 -> 08:49 PM) Back to actual discussion... Can this draft help bring a little more balance to the league? Five of the top 6 picks in a supposedly strong draft go to Eastern Conference teams and 3 of them have an extra first as well (Philly and Orlando both have two lottery picks). It will take a few years, but I think it could help unless they take all the busts. Coming into the year guys like Parker, Wiggins, Randle, Smart, and Exum were talked about as franchise players. Now add in Vonleh, Embiid, and Gordon. Hell, LaVine's got the tools to be something crazy. Will they all be? No. But if this draft could live up to the hype and produce at least three franchise players, we can see that turn around with Dipo and Co. in Orlando getting help, Philly is adding to MCW and Noel, Bucks have got some decent pieces. Only one who will f*** it up are the Cavs who will likely draft McDermott #1 overall cause Cavaliers are incompetent f***s.

    Davidson at .201 Is it bad that I'm excited for that?
  9. Astros taking Kolek is best for Sox.

    Dunn's Future

    1) I like Dunn. He needs to be gone after this year. 2) Who the f*** wanted Masterson? QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 21, 2014 -> 12:33 PM) Is there a way to just have a Caufield random thoughts thread? That way he doesn't have to interject them in threads that have little to do with his posts.
  11. That last pitch was nasty as hell.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 20, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) Huh? Another Paul George crack? I already said i'm an idiot and he sucks. What the hell does 1988 have to do with the incompetence of the current Bulls FO? With you on this. Different regimes entirely. Also, can someone link me to the latest LeBron flop?

  14. Greatest stall of all time.
  15. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 20, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) What's the second outcome? Strike out Out in play
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 20, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) Bulls did that half a decade ago or so. That was the joke.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 20, 2014 -> 09:27 PM) Beckham hitting .280. Gillaspie hitting .347. Everyone predicted this coming into the year. Also, I've lost my house betting on this game.
  18. 1. Expect to get to playoffs 2. Have Luol Deng 3. Have 1.7% chance of winning lottery 4. ??? 5. Profit
  19. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 20, 2014 -> 07:31 PM) Imagine if they had taken Oladipo last year. Irving/Oladipo/Wiggins would have been an insanely fun perimeter trio. Or Jonas Valančiūnas over Thompson. Or Barnes over Waiters.
  20. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 20, 2014 -> 07:22 PM) They'll still find a way to f*** it up. Aaron Gordon #1 overall
