  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) Can someone shoot a note in crayon to Hawk to keep his big yap shut on the officials. It's not helping. It's better than getting ESPN.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) That first pitch to Cabrera was probably 3 inches closer to the zone than that strike to Wise. This. And this at bat is the ultimate Skinny vs. Fat battle. And the fat one gets hit.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) For some reason people are afraid to start new threads. It's prolly because a lot of people get mad and jump on you if u start a new thread, so they post in catch all. And cause some things don't warrant a new thread.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 03:05 PM) I was able to watch the game. Pretty fun/boring in the second quarter. Really impressed by Berkstrasser, he was slingin those balls in there. I'm still pretty worried about playing UGA in week 2 with all of our oline injuries. YOu could tell their inexperience at picking up blitzes, most of the pressures on Franklin were guys coming in untouched. But, Murphy, Lawrence and Hansbrough in the backfield are quite the threat. I think we'll be alright without Josey. Hell, it was boring after the initial excitement died down. Lawrence ran literally right in front of me, maybe 2 or 3 yards, on the big touchdown run and it wasn't too exciting at that point.
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 11:41 AM) I vote this trivial discussion be moved to the catch-all thread.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 02:01 AM) RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 12:42 AM) It was rainy and a WR ran into me on the sidelines, but it was fun filming the game. But seriously, WRs running into you is a weird experience.

  8. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 10:24 PM) BTW I felt kinda lame after I found out that meme is from lord of the rings. ...?
  9. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) How about your senile VP going up to a table full of greek people and introducing himself as Joe Bidenopolous. http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberm...los-133992.html
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) might as well just cancel the election. God forbid I point out that Stewart tore into the RNC. I know you would never ever call out the DNC if something stupid happened there, like a senile old man yelling at a chair or Republican Congressmen of states so far in debt saying that they know how to fix the country.
  11. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) Pitch well Lair Keanu! I've decided your body naturally produces LSD.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 11:20 AM) Sox are still ahead of Detroit, but we are chasing them and are not going to catch them. I'd like to nominate this for "stupid contradicting post of the year" Seriously, just say you think the Tigers will win the AL Central instead of implying the White Sox are trying to fall in the standings.
  13. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 01:14 AM) So how about discussing the look of the new Brooklyn Nets stadium? Looks, unique! (And yes this is the look they are going for) I thought it had the potential to look good, but they overdid the rust.
  14. You know what? No matter what, our team actually gets to leave Detroit for a while after this series. They have to stay there.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 11:38 PM) The Daily Show has done some excellent reporting on the RNC, seriously. And if there's a contest, he's beating Stephen Colbert. Samantha Bee's piece talking to the pro-lifers was awesome. It was like watching a boxing match where it was a K.O., but instead of letting the guy fall to floor, The Daily Show kept picking up the fighter and punching him in the face.
