  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 08:35 AM) I'm shocked that you would take this position, Greg. Have you stated this position before? I don't think I had any idea you were even interested in the cost of attending our games! Especially considering that you live so close to the ballpark, and would otherwise be attending so many games if not for the price-gouging scandal in our midst! In fact, I heard that JR was actually seen holding a large Irish family at gunpoint outside of a local church forcing them to fork over their grocery money! A little harsh, but damn.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 03:07 AM) I'm thinking we get Konerko, Dunn, Sale, Peavy, and MAYBE AJ. And I don't just mean by vote, I mean voting + manager picks + Final vote. I think we get Konerko, Sale, AJ in the manger picks + vote. Peavy and Dunn maybe by manager, but I can see them being skipped. De Aza merely on the final vote roster, but not necessarily winning it.

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 10:28 PM) I will say that he did play that Megadeth song on June 2nd when I was at the game. The only other song I know played was "Your Love." I went on Sunday and he played both Seek & Destroy and Holy Wars, so you're correct.
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) I understand the frustration completely. I'm just saying would you ever have imagined people getting all worked up over the ending to Super Mario Bros. or Goldeneye? Video games have come a long way and it's awesome. I agree with this.
  5. And now I hope for his hilarious failure.
  6. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 03:33 PM) I haven't played any of the Mass Effect games, but I get a kick out of reading people complain about the ending. I find the whole dynamic interesting because it says a lot that a video game ending (and not something related to game play) has people in an uproar. It' because the first 149 hours and 55 minute that I put into the games had great writing and your choices meant something to the story. The last five minutes took a giant s*** on that.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 12:22 PM) Wade and Bosh have been injured. LeBron has put together historic performance after historic performance. He made a stupid, annoying DecisionTM, yes, but he's still been a complete motherf*cking monster. LeBron has gone absolutely f***ing nuts. Doesn't make him any less of a dick for The Decision and the "Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7" and "It's gonna be easy" speech/party. He basically acted like the NBA Title belonged to the heat. He made his bed, so unless he delivers titles, he's sleeping in it.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 12:41 PM) I really enjoyed the rest of the game minus the ending but it was still pretty flawed (i.e. but those were all things I could have overlooked if the ending wasn't as bad as it was. I actually question the intelligence of anyone who likes the ending. Man that ending pissed me off.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) Well, the excuse could be he lost to a more talented team? But it was gon' be easy and Pat Riley could play like he was at Kentucky because Wade and LeBron are all business and going to push each other in practice.
  10. OKC wins as Durant rips title of best player from LeBron's hands.
  11. I haven't had much time to get into video games again until recently and I just finished Mass Effect 3 after getting through half of it a few months ago. That was the worst ending ever and Casey Hudson should be launched into space forever. Christ that was terrible. The other 99.99% of the game was amazing.

    Beckham

It's generally Seek & Destroy by Metallica. When Beckham stopped being awesome, he said he wasn't worthy of using "Your Love" so Paulie, who walks up to Harvester of Sorrow, picked Seek & Destroy.
  13. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 11, 2012 -> 08:34 AM) Listening to Stone on with M&H- how did Zack Greinke's name get mixed up into all of this? Yeah, just heard this. What?
  14. They do serve minors and you can get a damn good brisket sandwhich for $10 with some good fries.
  15. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) I'm sure it works like a regular restaurant my friend. Well, my dad seemed adamant that it doesn't.
  16. Remember the Quentin for Beachy rumors? If we had done that, we'd have the league leaders in ERA.
  17. Anyone know if Bacardi at the Park's restaurant part serves minors? I'd assume it does, but I'd like to know because my parents and I might eat there before the game today. Also, today will be the second time I've seen Harrell pitch, outside of his debut.
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) All we need at third is someone who can hit 2.10 and play solid defense. Hudson is not that guy. I would give Johnson or Silverio a two week shot. They would be the greatest player of all time. (Just messing with you)
  19. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 06:41 PM) Remember when Dwayne Wade said that JR was not loyal. Alexei Ramirez, Kirk Hinrich, Paul Konerko, Jay Williams, Frank Thomas and about half the White Sox/Bulls players under JRs tenure would disagree. f***ing Wade.
  20. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) I hate people who think JR is cheap. When all he has done is proved over and over again that he is not. Being smart with your money and business = cheap. Also, forget the loyalty thing too. QUOTE (Jillian Michaels' Abs @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 12:01 AM) I thought it was pretty clear that I wasn't being serious. I'm glad you put this, because some people would legitimately post that as a not joke.
  21. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 9, 2012 -> 09:28 AM) come on Q, one is very unlikely. You honestly think they can pull off getting two? I have dreams. I said I'd love it, but I don't expect it. At best I expect getting Ross. Again, at best.
  22. Bulls have also talked to Ross apparently. If the Bulls can somehow pull off getting Barnes and Ross/Lamb while keeping Rose, Noah, Gibson, Butler, and Mirotic then I really like where things would be headed. I'd love this team in a few years: PG: Rose SG: Ross/Lamb SF: Barnes - Butler PF: Mirotic - Gibson C : Noah
