Part of the problem is they get them from the NL. Changing leagues is not easy especially for the Sox.

You have to see what they can do under different coaching where the changes need to be made. Those probably won't be big changes because they will be insiders from the mired in mediocrity organization. All coaches should be replaced. You can't have Boston and McEwing out there dealing with stupid base runners. I think Katz can be easily replaced. Tony and the batting coach are no brainers. You can't get rid of players just to rid them without equal or better replacements. Amazed that even bad pitching is expensive so you keep Gio. They also need to stay away from NL players.

There are no Grandals in their lineup.

Sosa was facing a HOF pitcher tonight, Kudos for Tony for playing him since kids to need some of that pressure of a division race which isn't happening in the minors.

The Rays are in a really bad area for pro sports. An owner with wisdom is forced to invest in scouting and development. There is starting to be more revelation that the Sox is an organization where there is no pressure.

Many of those teams have superior farm systems. They spend and develop.
