It's Visa. They seemed pretty good as of yesterday. Basically we've paid for some items that we have not received and those items that we have received, are substantially sub-par. I've never done this in the 15 or so years I have a credit card. I only did it, so the merchant would take us seriously in our efforts to get a partial credit on what was paid.

Im curious to see if anyone has ever put a charge into dispute or a stop payment on a credit card charge? How did it end up? My wife and I just did this for the first time with a difficult situation with a photographer.

you're all kidding yourselves if you don't realize that this is about the all mighty dollar. Iowa, New Hampshire, etc fight like crazy for these "first in the country rights" because they realize the huge amount of $ being brought into the state. Everything from TV ads, Hotel Rooms, Gas for statewide bus trips, restaurants, commercial real estate for headquarters, etc. Personally, I'd love to see a national lottery done the day after the election to determine the order of the first 5-10 states for the following presidential election. Get more states involved. Maybe Alabama would be first, or Ohio, or Minnesota. Why give those rights always to Iowa/New Hampshire? Sh*t, how awesome would it be if Hawaii or Alaska won the right to go 1st?

hey 2012 is an election year.. why not get the worlds most prominent Sox fan, come to the ballpark? I know Illinois isnt a swing state, but hey what's a 4-5 hour diversion from Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan or Missouri for a night at home with the Sox.

take unused upper deck tickets, partner with local athletic associations/park district and have special nights for those kids/team/families. Example.. Wheaton Park District baseball night. Closely coordinate and give away 500 or so tickets to the organization for the kids and parents. Allow them to come in before others to watch batting practice or hang on the field after the game. Something "special". In the meantime, they are paying for parking, buying concessions/merchandise while at the stadium while trying to capture these kids as Sox fans for the future. Very little variable costs associated with empty seats.
