I agree with everything you said, but Schwarber has a huge advantage in ISO and SLG when compared to Conforto. If you are looking for a lefty masher, Schwarber is the historical better bet. But for obvious reasons, Conforto is the better fit on this team due to his position.

Well this is super depressing.

The alternative is putting your big boy pants and signing a big-time FA to supplement the core we sat through numerous losing seasons to build. Sox need GOOD complementary players, not more Adam Eatons of the world that have a 50/50 chance of being released.

I never expected the Sox to have a chance with him. He had West coast written all over him IMO. Just seems like the Sox way of operating the FA market is hurting them, as usual. I’m concerned we haven’t heard anything from anyone regarding their pursuits or lack thereof.
