  1. You actually are saying that the Sox are passing along fake information to appease 6,881 members of Sox Talk?
  2. You cannot possibly be serious about this.
  3. Been thinking about it all night. If you take the low-end of the offer, 72/4=18 (obviously this number might actually be lower for 2022 based on how contracts generally appreciate in value). Then take that average and start subtracting the dollar amounts from the post-lockout additions, 18-(7+3+5.5)=2.5 This fits with the earlier narrative some people were pushing around that the Sox are tapped out. Of course, if you move Kimbrel, that number could increase dramatically depending on how much the Sox can save. Maybe there is still a chance they are able to get him, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. I also don't think this FO is that smart to be able to pull off anything that requires multiple steps or moving parts.
  4. Not sure I like that. Waiting also increases the risk of Kimbrel getting hurt. It really feels like they have no clue what they are doing this offseason, and it's a massive fail that it doesn't seem there's any intent to reinvest that money back into the team with all the glaring holes in the roster.
  5. And then the Red Sox grab Conforto.
  6. Do you have faith Hahn knows what he's doing this offseason?
  7. I’m so happy to hear the Sox lost yet another trade partner.
  8. Joe Kelly pitching against Correa with GRF booming with chants of "Cheater! Cheater!" all year round will be something to see.
  9. It's like the entire league backed away from Conforto, and the Sox are pulling another Machado (granted much smaller scale).
  10. They're the exact type of team that could be a thorn in the side of the Sox and take advantage of some untimely Sox injuries. Maybe the competition will be good for the Sox, but they got a whole lot better and have the pieces to continue to add if they want.
  11. Twins won't be as bad as they were last year, and I'd be surprised if they are done. They grab Montas or Manaea and they have a solid team. Our Sox never answer back, I wouldn't expect them to now.
  12. Nope, 2023 is a player option and he is on record as saying he is going to use it. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/10/charlie-blackmon-plans-to-exercise-2022-23-player-options.html
  13. If the Padres sign Soler, I have a terrible feeling that the Sox will end up with Myers for RF in a Kimbrel trade. Soler currently does not fit on that Padres roster.
  14. $16M for Jansen. Move Kimbrel now.
  15. Great strategy to trade pieces from the 30th ranked farm instead of simply spending money.
  16. It really is a head scratcher. All about money, but you'd think a better team would increase revenue, more people in the park, deeper playoff run. What do I know though.
  17. Or do we have any other 1B that can play the OF?
  18. You’re much more optimistic than I am. I guess I totally buy into them being tapped out right now. Not very optimistic at the moment that Kinbrel will be moved either at this point.
  19. Working against who though? His market has been almost nonexistent in the public forum. Sure as hell ain’t the Sox. Giants signed Pederson.
  20. Insane. Idiotic. There’s aren’t enough words to describe how bad this entire transaction is ending up.
  21. I disagree. I know of the two guys who run that pod and they aren’t like that at all. One of them is heavily connected to Kris Bryant. They aren’t looking for clicks in the way a random Twitter “insider” would.
