It sure will be funny to see either: A) The Mets get screwed over by Scherzer when he goes back to LA. or B) The Mets sign Scherzer and watch them Met up the 2022 season and fail to make the playoffs... again.

He had some really nice seasons in Arizona. He isn't a bad pitcher. I would be shocked if he's able to replicate what he did this season though.

I love this move. This is the guy I wanted the Sox to grab at the deadline last year. Essentially Tepera’s replacement and strengthens the pen.

Same. There’s easily 4 guys I would be happy with, then the next question is what happens with Keuchel.

I’m going to guess if we see a move before Thursday, it’s a trade. I’d love to see Conforto locked up but I just don’t see Boras clients making any quick decisions.

You can play the same game with literally anyone right now. Going into 2022, we have no idea how some guys will react from the long season after everything that happened in 2020. It's hard to argue he isn't the best available option available right now. If you want to win right now, he should be at the top of the list.

I agree with him. The Sox don’t need superstars at every position - plus it’s not realistic to have that expectation. The team with the worst record among playoff teams won the whole thing. Two 100+ teams failed to make the WS. It’s not the first time we’ve seen that either. Just get the right players that fill out the holes on this team the best. I’d be ecstatic with Conforto and Escobar.

Chuck has really dove into homer territory the past few seasons. Sometimes I feel like he says stuff just to say it. Hope he is right, but I would be beyond shocked.

It makes a lot of sense if you ask me. They have an opening at SS, Hinch, and up and coming talent. Just depends on if the Tigers decide to open up the bank.
