Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
When I say proven track record, I wasn't implying a high level of success. Simply, they know who he is...

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
This is puzzling to me... but what do I know... I'm just some meatball fan. I have to trust that there are paid professionals making these decisions. I mean, Palka has a proven track record from 2018.... Collins has the pedigree... #shrug

GT: Tigers (27-52) @ White Sox (39-42), July 3
For as much as I hated this offseason, its a fun time to be a Sox fan. Even if not everyone pans out and not everyone hits their ceilings, this season has been like that time between when you buy a lottery ticket and when the actual drawing is... thinking of all the possibilities....

Can we just field a team of 8 McCanns?

Buck Farmer has to be one of the most "baseball" baseball player names ever.

I have some bad trade ideas
This probably isn't a bad trade idea. But I don't think the Braves would give up on Mike fhqwhgads this quickly. I live in "Braves Country" and the ESPN sports blab in my city, the dudes won't shut up about how "terrible the Braves bullpen" is and how their GM "is working to" fix it. #shrug

I can't wait for next season when we never have to see Juan Minaya again

6/23- Sox at Rangers, 2:05, WGN
The Texas offense is REALLY bad. When you score 4 runs against a team like that, you should win.

you left out the part about assdribble playing on a 4-game suspension appeal.

Rangers and Sox Game Thread
I'm not gonna get ahead of myself, but damn that Collins HR stroke looked a whole lot like Josh Hamilton

Banuelos to IL; Fulmer recalled
I would imagine the Sox want to stagger the service time thing / callups a bit so that they dont have 14 guys all in their final arb year at the same time.

Let's talk Eloy hitting cleanup
you are probably right... at his ceiling. Today though he's probably best suited in the 5 hole. I probably should have been more specific with my conjecture.
-
Let's talk Eloy hitting cleanup
I'm probably in batshit crazy PlayStation mode here, but a couple bullet points.... Moncada is the best hitter on the team and should hit 3rd. Abreu isn't a 3 hitter. F$%& pride. He is a power bat in decline, and should bat cleanup. Eloy is at his ceiling a prototypical 5 hitter on a great offensive team. We don't have a prototype OBP/Speed leadoff hitter, Anderson needs as many ABs as he can get so he can have the most impact for the team. So... Anderson McCann Moncada Abreu Eloy Everyone else on the team is replacement level or below so who cares who hits where after the 5-hole. I'm gonna go back to my day job now and stop with the armchair baseball managing.
