I am on the road for work - and I really wish I would have thought of this, or else I totally would have done it.... but it woulda been pretty damn funny to tweet all of the actual deadline trades in MLB 2012 The Show. Some of the trades are just insane.... In my last simmed season, Jeter got traded to the Reds for Votto, Matt Kemp got traded to the Angels for Pujols and every other significant top-100 player was traded for a bunch of fake prospects with names like Armando Chen or Hideki Anderson.

Joe Girardi said in the presser before the game tonight that Ichiro will play LF. Stick the a gold glove RF-er with arguably the best throwing arm in the history of the game in LF and leave Nick f***ing Swisher in RF. Wow.

I used to read Cowley's articles until I realized they were more of quote mashups more than anything else. Any reporter with a clubhouse credential can assemble some quotes and make pointed (and sometimes baseless) remarks about coaches.

Lets review the evidence, shall we: He has been the cornerstone of the White Sox roster for seven seasons. He is one of the top-5 offensive catchers in all of the game and has been for seven seasons (seriously, find me five better catchers for seven straight seasons 2005-2012) He is the thorn in the side of every opposing team the Sox face, year in, year out. Face it, he makes s*** happen. He has (statistically proven fact, check fangraphs) been one of the best "game callers" and "staff handlers" in all of the game for the better part of a decade. AJP is not an All-star. He is a world champion... and a badass muthaf***a. If we are so honored as Sox fans to vote for AJP in the final vote, let's make it happen.

Man, the White Sox clubhouse boy is going to be pissed. Gonna have to get more towels for the sweatiest man in baseball. Also, I hope we fans can stop b****ing about our GM. He is actually trying to improve the team.

Man... poor guy has had 3 or 4 serious and painful injuries. Not just "shoot, I can't play through this one" but more of "shoot, i cant lift a fork to feed myself" or "shoot, i can't walk to the can to relieve myself."
