Didnt the whitesox ask Frank Thomas who he would rather play with, Bonds or Belle - so the Sox signed Belle?? Seems like the Sox were damned with a dickhead player regardless of who they signed between the two.

"The Will to Win" has been in and out of Gatorade's ads and marketing lingo for a while now. If anyone's getting sued, its Hawk and not visa versa. Though I doubt Gatorade gives a s***, since they use statistics and trends to determine the effectiveness of ad campaigns.

Isn't half of Konerko's final year salary deferred over the next 6 seasons ($1m per year until 2019)? I seem to remember this when he re-signed. This might seem a bit crass, considering that a few current White Sox players (Quintana and Flowers, to name a few) have tested positive before, but doesn't it say something for the "organization" that NO White Sox players were involved in the Biogenesis scandal? Granted DLS was named/suspended, but his involvement occured after he was traded to Oakland.

They probably are close. They've likely agreed in principal to the player(s) coming back to the Sox and they are now discussing the $$$ to cover Rios. *shrug*

I really hope that Rick Hahn doesn't trade Peavy if the right value isn't presented in return. If the Sox do not receive the offer that they like, why not just wait until the off-season to trade him?
