You don't "use an option" on a guy when you bring him up. You use an option year when he is on the 40-man roster and assigned to the minors at any point during the season. So Sanchez has already burned an option year this year and no amount of bringing him up and sending him down affects that.

Reading this story makes it sound like both Eaton and Ramirez will be out of the lineup Sunday so a position player makes sense.
There is a big difference between 1) Employer who hires illegals who have obtained fake SSN, etc and 2) Employer who knowingly hires illegals by not even asking for a SSN and paying them under the table.
1) needs some training on how to spot fake documents and then fines for repeat offenses
2) needs prison time
That's fine if that's his choice, but I hope that he understands that he can't be attached at the hip to both Wade and the Larry O'Brien trophy. It's either one or the other.
I see people use "taken for granite" all the time on Facebook. I tell them they need to come to Indiana where we don't take anybody for granite--we take them for limestone.
OK, I never saw any story stating that he declined. I know there is all this stuff about the derby messing with your swing, but I still would have liked to watch him. He is the only thing that would have made listening to Chris Berman tolerable.
Must be moved:
Dunn
(If off DL) Lindstrom
(If off DL) Paulino
Belisario
De Aza
The first three because they are not under team control beyond this season and the other two because they are almost worthless, but there is at least a slim chance that somebody might be interested. For any of these five, the Sox should take the best deal possible before July 31. De Aza and Belisario are both likely to be nontendered anyway if they can't be traded.
Should be shopped but don't absolutely have to be moved:
Beckham
Viciedo
Try to get good value for these guys, but there is also the chance they can bring value during an offseason trade so don't dump them just to dump them.
Don't shop them but listen to offers:
Danks
Ramirez
Both guys are under team control through 2016 and have put in good enough performances to be considered valuable pieces of a contending team in the 2015-16 time frame. Only give these guys up if a premium offer is received.
Please don't mention this guy as a trade candidate:
Flowers
He is worthless. Nobody will take him. Just let him finish out the year and then nontender him.
