    Alright begin

Spoilers are something I need to avoid for another 28.5 hours.
  2. Really dumb markets question: Why do super-low oil prices drag down all of the markets? Very annoying that I can't get cheap gas and 401k growth at the same time.
  3. You can't really sign a pitcher to "back up" EJ/Danks. Any starter that is going to sign is going to expect to start, at which point you're committing to either releasing Danks or sending EJ to AAA.
  4. Sure, he's a #4 if you also have Kershaw, Sale and Grienke on your team.
  5. Depends on the kind of deals they got. If they both got 4+ years, yeah I'd have a problem with committing that long to two guys who might not pan out. If you can get one of them on a 3 year deal, then that would be better.
  6. I think the only way Buehrle comes here is if he doesn't get an offer from the Cards. Even if they offer him some sort of pittance like $5 million, I think he takes it because he wants to play for them so badly. If they never offer that, then maybe he comes here for $8-10 million.
  7. Anything can become overvalued if teams start massively overpaying for it.
  8. Holy f*** I thought this topic had finally died off. NOBODY IS TRADING FOR LAROCHE!!!
  9. Leaders believe they have the votes. We'll see if that is actually the case.
  10. What are the Dodgers going to do with Trayce? 6th OF behind Puig, Ethier, Crawford, Pederson and Van Slyke?
  11. I'd rather have Upton by far, but I don't like the idea of giving him 6+ years, which is what he's going to get.
  12. So is Sanchez the starting SS right now, or Saladino, or a platoon?
  13. Better than giving up Anderson, but still seems like a lot to give up for 2 years of Frazier. As of now, Avi is back to being a starting OF.
  14. From everything I've seen, yes, though defensive metrics are not overly reliable.
  15. Ethier is replacing Trayce, so I think people are still hoping to sign an OF and move Melky to DH.
  16. In terms of raw value, yes, but it just made the outfield defense horrible all around, unless there's another move that nets a CF, moving Eaton to RF, Ethier to LF, and Melky to DH.
  17. My best guess so far is Ethier (plus cash?) and Frazier to Sox, Montas and May to Dodgers, unkown Dodgers stuff to Reds, possibly whatever Dodgers stuff the Reds were going to get for Chapman.
  18. Apparently Frazier and Ethier will not cost Anderson nor Fulmer.
  19. Dodgers better be eating an awful lot of money an/or including another player if they are getting Montas for Ethier.
  20. Probably the only name that anybody has been able to confirm, but from a prospect standpoint Montas is a pretty big name.
