If the general is Trump vs Hillary, I would bet money on Johnson (if he is indeed the Libertarian nominee) gets at least 5%.
-
Kenny Williams got Laroche to retire. Does that give him a leg up for executive of the year?
-
There's no chance this team goes through a complete rebuild with this pitching staff. Top 3 starters are possibly the best top 3 in the league. Latos appears to be the real deal (though not signed for 2017) and the bullpen is top notch at least 5 deep. Fulmer is due in 2017. Anderson fills the SS hole in 2017, and all the Sox really need to go outside the org to get is an outfielder and a DH (or 2 OF and move Melky to DH). Plus with Danks off the books there will be plenty of money to deal with.

.321 career OPS vs RHP. Not far off what anybody else could do.

SUGGESTION:Saladino to SS, Rollins to DH

Would need another IF on the roster to do this. -
Pretty clearly you're not alone. Of course, instead of staying home, you could vote for the Libertarian candidate. Getting a 3rd party candidate up near 10% might get some attention.

I'd rather have Sanchez hitting over either of them. -
Why would the left be behind the one guy who can actually beat a Democrat? Doesn't make sense. The left should be all behind Trump because that assures a Democratic win in November.
-
The Democratic candidates themselves have been fairly restrained, but their supporters are going at it pretty hard. The GOP has a golden opportunity here if they would wake up and nominate Kasich. Bernie's supporters have an extremely high level of hatred for Hillary, and despite Kasich not really being close to Bernie ideologically, they seem willing to vote for him over Hillary.
-
We don't have one of those. The closest thing to that right now is Sanchez.

It's just so weird that three different entities play a major role in the process. The parties' national committees determine how many regular delegates and super delegates each state gets. The state governments determine when voting will occur, and the state party committees determine how to award the delegates within each state. That's what seems so messed up to me. On another note, Bernie has started running TV commercials in my market (Louisville/S. Indiana). None of the other candidates yet.

It's going to be late May before any players from other teams become available, but I think sending down Avi and Johnson and bringing up Sanchez and Coats helps until then. Let Coats play LF vs LHP and move Melky to DH. Let Sanchez play 1B or 2B vs RHP and move Lawrie/Abreu to DH. Also get Rollins out of the 2 hole and down to 8. -
I'm going to see Charlotte play at Louisville that day. Would be cool if he's on the roster then and even cooler if he actually pitches. Got seats right behind their dugout.

At least the Sox aren't paying any one guy $25M to bat under .160. -

On the first pitch, you should be looking for a specific pitch in a specific location, i.e. a fastball on the inner half. If you get what you're looking for, swing. If not, let it go. Once you have one strike you get a bit less selective and then with two strikes you get defensive. -

Possibly the worst quality start in the history of quality starts. -

If that's the case, then the Sox should start Robertson and work backwards to Danks. -
Been one hell of a first four months for musician deaths.

I noted in another thread that I'd like to see Sanchez come back up in place of Shuck or Sands. Then if you have to put Saladino at 1B, you still have a backup IF. No real reason to carry 5 OF on the roster (6 if you include Avi).

I'd rather have Stanley, but I'd be OK with Lawson.
